@IAmAnIssue anyone who taps that link to check where it goes is a fool and deserves it.
-
endor57515y@IAmAnIssue oh wow, that's so cool! Unfortunately it's not possible though, because there are DNS requests, not full URLs, so it's just not possible :(
@electrineer I genuinely expected that to be a rickroll video, but it actually isn't (it's a Tom Scott video about a VR Banhammer for twitch - cool stuff) -
@electrineer I clicked it expecting it to be some tutorial to fuck with people....
Completely dropped the ball on the possibility that it's a Rick roll 😕 -
@electrineer I went to the link anyway because I was curious and it was absolutely worth it.
-
@EmberQuill ok, I looked up the video mentioned by @endor and it has the same url
-
endor57515y@electrineer I mean, the video itself is kinda meh, I agree.
But how fun would it be to send a banhammer response of some kind to an active attacker? -
endor57515yAttack still going on, 113 attackers so far. Lots of compromised VPSes too.
Also: 4488 ++es :D
Well then, looks like my pihole attracted the attention of a botnet with 65 zombies attempting a large DNS amplification attack.
Time to unleash the BANHAMMER
Fun fact: only a few hundereds of their requests actually show up in the pihole logs. The other 40k+ requests they attempted were blocked by my firewall :D
