Ah I just use it for scripting stuff on. I soldered and glued a USB in place to plug it into a PC, it creates a USB network connection so I can ssh into it and do whatever on.
-
@BrianK funny story, windows skipped 9 because windows 9 in win32 libraries referred to 95, 98 etc. So... instead we got 10
Because.... Legacy code or something -
Hears you liked to rant within a rant
-
@Haxk20 I'm more excited to actually support my own code with a community.
-
As a network programmer. This left me with a stupid wide smile.
-
I have a skill of smashing random words together and making random conversation. I randomly came up with a rant of how fight between Micheal cera and Steve Ballmer would be the single greatest thing to watch the other day. If you just talk fast and don't think about jt too much. You can come up with some crazy shit on the spot.

I will never forget the day I hacked google through CSS.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 -
I mean, if the company is forcing us to use specific software, chances are, I'd rather have the IT guy just install windows for me and walk away.
If I have full liberty over my machine, no.
But, the convince of an IT technician setting a system on a companys network is there, for something like that... yes.
It really depends on the task on hand.
Can I connect a machine to a network? Yes.
Can the guy who connects the machines to a network all day and gets paid to do so do it faster than me? Probably, its what an it tech is for. -
Yes. Okay programming falls under the category of Information technology. But the term IT when referring to a profession refers to an "IT technician". And it was understandable what was meant when I said "when people assume we're IT". The software engineers are in a different section than the IT department in a company.
-
A degree in IT is a big difference than a degree in software engineering.
-
@Treighton course I can, doesn't mean it's in my job description and that I want to fix everyones computers.
-
The people who install operating systems, fix computers, install networks, install hardware
system.DrawLine(); //right here
Develop software,
Manage code
Fixing bugs
Spends countless hours doing magical logic maths and stuff. -
No it's not? It's christmas
-
Welcome to one of the highest paid, yet one of the most underappreciated jobs on the market.
-
American employers abuse the shit out of out of country developers. One of my uncle's old CEOs would pay out of country devs like 9$/hr... that's garbage pay and developers are worth way more. It kinda pissed me off, and I never really understood why until I started working in the field.
-
It didn't even look that real...
-
I had a co-worker who asked me to do this year's ago for the same reason. I gave him a phishing site I mocked up and said, "link her this"... it worked.
-
Sometimes they don't even say it. You can just feel them judging your life based off your profession.

This was very specific....
-
Tbh, I get this at work.
Didn't know c++ before this job.
Didn't know SQL....
Never used Python....
Mono is Satan.
Yeah, you learn a lot in the field. -
Brain.exe has crashed, would you like to send crash data to Microsoft?
-
@Jumpshot44 thanks, I love it. These posts are hilarious!

I often look at an application and thing "wow... what a piece of shit. I could've done this better" and move on with my life.
My fave application to Shrek on is MySQL workbench. #FeelsBadForDBEngineers
