@hacker me too!
-
@gitpush it was filled in but linked to another tableview on a different view (not sure how it happened) but I deleted it and reworked it and now the code runs. You are a genius! Thank you so much!!!
-
@gitpush so it was in my VC, but not my storyboard?
-
@gitpush both are connected
-
@gitpush
-
@gitpush this is the table source. Next comment will be where t fails every time
-
I was trying SwiftyJSON but it isn’t helping (edit: at this point I was just trying to get it into an array, which it did and printed but still wouldn’t load into the table)
-
@gitpush so I’m using Alamofire for networking for the first time. I can get the JSON fine and even get the code to print to console. But I can’t get the data to store to a dictionary so I can display it in a table. I tried printing the dictionary and it’s coming back nil every time. So naturally when I try to load the tableview with the data it crashes because of the nil value. The data I’m trying to get is an array or dictionaries nested in a JSON object. Sorry for the long explanation lol

@jhh2450 lol makes more sense. I sat in a suite last one (former work perk) nice food and free drinks
-
@jhh2450 dude what tickets were you looking at? I got ours for $20
-
@jhh2450 yeah I’m actually going to a canes game Saturday. Hope they don’t suck then. I’ve seen them play once this year and they won so hope that continues
-
@jhh2450 lol the triangle has all that minus pro football. And Charlotte is o my 2 hours from here
-
@jhh2450 lol it has its perks that’s for sure. For tech jobs, Triangle would probably be better because of RTP and this thing called Chatham Park they’re building to be the next RTP
But Charlotte is nice. And you got to see a great game. I watched it on tv lol -
@jhh2450 yeah I’m technically in Durham but 10 min from RDU. Used to live near Charlotte as well. Pretty much the only tech cities in the state
-
@jhh2450 lol I’m in raleigh Dude. Born and raised here
-
@jhh2450 are you in NC?!?
-
@dfox anytime! Trying to convince the wife to let me get a duck 😬
-
@jhh2450 that’s who I have too
-
Same lol
-
I’m still waiting on my stickers lol
-
I’ll take one please lol
-
@Linux the guy is in the hospital with some sort of terrible migraine that he’s had for a week. So I kinda feel bad. But I told him (and my mother) that I’m doing his shit for free so my paying clients will come first, followed by my own personal development (I’ve only been coding for8.5 months) and his project will get done after that. Then I said if they didn’t like it I’ll invoice you both and you can pay to be a priority, otherwise fuck off
-
Lol same
-
Tell me more lol it looks nice
-
@Aitkotw it’s a simple app so I’m tempted to just rewrite it lol
-
@Lahsen2016 it’s more the concept of ISPs being able to arbitrarily charge whatever they want for certain sites and they could in theory hike rates whenever they wanted
-
You aren’t missing much on Upwork
-
Honestly it would work better if there was a real time database (like firebase) but that would require every school using the app to upload. I mean I guess it works if it’s just for one school, but it doesn’t exactly scale well
-
@Zaphod65 I did. His response was that clients can’t see the testimonials that were on the sliders...
-
@Alice the client is actually nice most of the time. Not sure why he is bugging out on this one. But it is what it is
