I love designing and developing software but man, I envy blue collar people sometimes. I know their jobs are hard but working with your hands and working 9 to 5 and then live your life from 5 to 9 is awesome..

Especially considering that in Europe, I have 14 years of experience and make maybe 10k more than my blue collar friends after tax. If it was just for the work-money ratio I'd become a carpenter..

Product owner said don’t allow decimals in markup and we disabled decimals. At the 11th hour she said well what I wanted was for them to add decimals and we round up and save the rounded version. They initially type in 20.6 round up to 21 then calculate the percentage. And you refresh the page markup now says 21% not your original value. How is that even smart.

Avoid Jetbrains products if you value your sanity.

For the last several months, my settings and stored database credentials are wiped out at random. Meaning code styles, indention settings, keymaps, database settings, plugins, local change history, cache, all of it are reset to factory default at random, costing me hours trying to restore it all.

I've updated and it is still happening.

The moral of the lesson is to not pay for dev tools, lest you become reliant on them. You definitely don't get what you're paying for anymore.

RGB makes your code run faster and gets rid of errors. If it doesn't work, you're not using enough RGB.
