It's always a bad idea to run linux on something "cutting edge".

I used to update when I shutdown. But now it's not possible because of the anniversary update. It's really stupid because my use of the computer can vary between 10 in the morning and 3am. I can only set it not to update for 12 hours? What was wrong with the old way?
