That scene was so weird that I had to take a break before watching the rest.

The imposter syndrome is alive and well in the IT industry.
I'm 29 and I feel the same sometimes. I would recommend that you try to set yourself a small goal and set a fixed time to achieve the goal. Be realistic with whatever challenge you set yourself. Start small and build up your confidence and programming abilities. You'll always have those days where you feel worthless. What is important is that you try to improve in some way so that you can look at yourself and say "You know what? I'm improving".
In closing, don't waste your time with negative thoughts.
"The race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself" - Baz Luhrmann -
@SukMikeHok If anyone was to ask me for my instagram account, I simply say I don't have one and we move on with our lives. If people truly want to connect with me, be that socially or professionally, they can find another way.
The social media culture does bother me sometimes, but I can control how I want to deal with that. For example, I remove all unnecessary social apps and only use the remaining ones when I actually need to (i.e. to video-call my family in Ireland as I live in Germany). -
I see it as an interesting tool full of uninteresting photos.
I used it for a short time, but I deleted it after I found myself questioning why I feel the need to share a photo (after much filtering) with friends or everyone whenever I took a photo.
I questioned its value in my life and when the answer was zero, I simply stopped using it. However, I can understand why others would not share my opinion. -
I am going to have a little talk with my boss about a pay increase. I'm living in Stuttgart, Germany where it is not cheap to rent.

@electrineer just imagine you're a character in the movie "The Quiet Place" and I'm the alien until I get my first coffee.
-
Apparently, it is officially recognized in Russia.

I'm slowly moving to ProtonMail.
My default dev browser is Firefox and I'm starting to use Cliqz for normal browsing.
Good luck attempting to live completely Google free. -
I can't remember what it's called, but there is a feature on a smartphone which allows the user to contact another person in order to communicate.
In my opinion, there is no real connection to other people through facebook feeds and instagram is just a way to show a filtered life.
Delete it all and call somebody -
You may want to edit your comment ever so slightly.

@undef It depends on the situation, but the default value is Dagi

It is what my girlfriend calls me.

I like the Boundary Prima backpack for the developer/photographer.

Is moving to another country an option?
-
I feel for you buddy. I've had that task numerous times. I did it once and now I'm the guy at my company who gets the task always. Curse my ability to import stupid CVS files into the DB perfectly. Oh well, time for coffee.

I completely understand. My partner is German and I'm Irish. I have a good level of German myself although, I still struggle to keep up when we are together with her friends. I prefer to speak German as default and not force others to speak English. Thank goodness I have Irish bars in my city where I can find my kin. Make the effort to learn your partner's language and reap the rewards.

@AboMahdi fair point

@AboMahdi Is it not implied that you continue to hold down Ctrl when dealing with keyboard shortcuts?

Ctrl + k, k in Visual Studio.

I have sticky notes covering my monitor with git commands.

I feel for ya buddy. It can make the job harder when you can't have conversations with the people you spend most of your day with. You should take the initiative and try to improve the social environment regardless of your self-proclaimed introvert status. It's how you improve as a person. Don't wait for change, make the change. If it doesn't work out , then at least you tried and you'll still have devRant. Good luck.

You should talk to your boss if you are not satisfied with the work before quitting. Let them know that you can do more. I understand that this could be a unwanted conversation as your boss might feel you are unneeded and you may lose your job anyway. In that case, you have nothing to lose and all to gain. I hope that makes sense as I have just arrived into my office and have delayed getting a coffee to type this comment. Good luck from Germany

I've read that on imgur and twitter today. Shows how productive I've been. Oh well, time for coffee.

I honestly don't have a theme preference. I use to always use the light theme and then one day, for no reason apart from reading comments from devs, I switched to dark. It took time for my eyes to adjust to it. I never understood the hatred for light themes, but each to their own, I suppose. Hmm...I think it's time for coffee. Tschuss

@wxcazee may I suggest a new God. Perhaps Thor. He's so hot right now.

Redbull is a quick fix to a bug (tiredness) that needs a more thoughtful solution. Look into homemade energy drinks, but don't overreach. If you're tired, take a break. #Redbullshit

If I were you, all I'd be thinking about is the possibility of a reward from my girlfriend. Stick it out buddy. It could be worth it.

Try a dating app if you're looking for a hookup ;)
