For some reason, outsourcing and using consultants are often considered a clever thing. While the inhouse team of devs are expensive ...
-
Your code too, mister, I'm sure of it.

@Artemix
It was suggested, that LateX would be used, as the structure of all the 14 test docs and 14 product manuals used the same template.
This was dropped though, with the usual argument: Don't have time.
Copy/paste and search'n replace is so much faster, you see... -
@juzles
Good point. My colleague thought that, too, and used it for half a day. When I then opened his libre-edited document in M$ Word, cpu went crazy, cross refs were all in Error and fonts were a bit off. He had to pull out hiw Windows-pc too, in the end, and redo his work... -
Regardless of Google Opinion, I personally prefer a single payout initially, then forget about it.
People should be allowed to be rating terrorists, as the rating reflects how you feel about not just the product, but also the business model.
Sure is a pain for the Dev, but I am glad that modding a score is noticed. Done it multiple times, when I eventually met a show stopper in-app.
What I dislike most, is the either-give-a-5-star-or-we-don't-want-you-to-vote policy. Even open a different feedback channel for less-than-5-votes. -
@nickpapoutsis
Indeed, if only we could put a tracker on this... -
What made you go to vim, and why did you leave it, already? :P

@Snatchedd
Me: "I just have mention Jar Jar! Hah, someone beat me to it!" -
@eorono
My thoughts too. -
Hehe. Funny.
-
Really liked this one. Thank you!

@CorruptComputer
My intent, fully. It was one of those unlucky domain names... Think they put a hyphen in, after a while. -
They had to solve things using the start only of posts on expertsexchange, as it was pay-to-win.

@tilde @daemonAD
By successfully guessing the rantid you will get, based on the latest one, average rant flow, and perhaps at a time of day with low activity? -
Norway, glad you found devRant.

@sylar182 @sylar
Tried to figure out who of you that joined first, by checking your profiles, but sigh... 6/3/2016... Who uses such unambigiuos date format?! :/ Luckily, one of you were so clever, that you joined at a date higher than 12, identifying the month position. The devs nationality, forward slashes and the fact that devRant didnt exist 6th of March '16 helped too.
We should have a date format setting in this app. -
@matsaki95
and that in the most unfitting time of the day. No, long live a self decided apt upgrade that installs nvidia drivers that crashes, or a pacman -Suy answering randomly on all config questions. -
@sam9669
You are quite daring, using those three keywords in one comment post. As if devRant isn't monitored... It's better than fb, and full of actual solutions to problems, so why not?
Edit: and THEN I read your comment on yourself..
Bah! -
Hey, people! He didn't ask for build comments. He is having a blast with the upgrade, and I am so envious of that feeling. Stuck with a 2700k that supposedly doesnt need an upgrade...
-
@thisizram
Don't worry about the font. I read your post first, and enjoyed that fact. -
@nickpapoutsis
Too bad that one missed the flight...
