Thanks @Nitin1607, @Floydian and @CoffeeNcode. I appreciate the feedback. 😃

Personally I find that if you care about the situation so much that you share it with us on here, he should know.
Do let him know that it’s not to bother him or anything, but it concerns you that he does this sort of thing. I think regardless of position, people should be able to listen to each other every once in a while and not take any reprisals. But just to be sure, look at your approach and what’d be nicer is if you can adapt your message in a way he’ll like/appreciate. -
Cool, which model do you have, the 2016 or 2017 model and what are the specs?
Sorry for asking so much, these past days I have been contemplating whether I should upgrade from my 2011 model by buying the 2015 model, the 2017 model or just wait for the new 2018 model.
What is your experience? Is the keyboard holding up? -
I’m kinda in the same position as you.
Important thing to keep in mind is that you will get to where you want to be. Right now do not bother yourself thinking about a fact that you cannot change right this second.
Whatever you do, do not overthink, it’ll lead to even more stress, anxiety and depression. And to be honest, none of those things ever did anyone any good.
Instead make sure you are working towards your goal gradually, don’t overdo it either. You’ll also get a lot of moments where you might be doing things unrelated to your goal and you’ll start asking yourself “why am I not being productive?” and that can become a vicious circle, leading to even less productivity.
Take some time to enjoy yourself, find a way to incorporate your goal with things you like. Keep going, keep your head up, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
Good luck! :) -
@linuxxx thanks, I’m making sure that I’m focusing on things that’ll make me stand out. And I hope that by telling hiring people my story, maybe they’ll give me a chance.
-
@FMashiro then I will. Your comment was the answer I was looking for, thanks!

I was thinking of voting, but does it really make a difference if we do today though?
My problem with all of this is the abolishment of the referendum and some parties saying that voting today doesn’t change anything.. -
@Aitkotw lmao, I literally can’t even! xD
-
Where are the pictures? We wanna see (and determine) for ourselves.
-
@eternallyAlone believe me, that thought has never left my mind. But they fired me.. and I’m happy they let me go, I don’t know when I’ll get a job again, but I’m taking this time to learn new things.
-
@godot
Them: “don’t you remember that one time?”
Me: “hmmm..don’t remember..” -
@Brolls lmao, too bad I’m uncultured..
-
@p2501 hahahahaha thanks , yeah screw them.
-
@Jilano hahahahaha ikr. Thanks, I’m looking for a new job since they “fired” me. I was going to leave anyways, so good riddance.
The way they treated me had me feeling shitty for a while. But slowly I realized that I’m better off working somewhere else. -
Cool, I’m just starting out with PHP.
Any suggestions for a beginner? -
@Brolls lol those ones indeed crack me up. Thanks for the advice, I will definitely be asking about the Joel Score at the next company I get an interview at.
-
@FoolsGambit I know right, thank you for confirming.
Yea, I know a bit of React and Angular, and I also know a bit of RoR. Not much I know, but I only decided to start taking this seriously a year ago. -
@Navigatr thanks, yeah I think it’s definitely to deter some people - it’s just so demotivating you know? But I’ll keep looking.
Good luck with your studies.
