consulo. supports other languages as well by installing plugins... but not that complex as visual studio...
If you need something lightweight, I suggest you to use Microsoft Notepad. It has the long history of editors, super lightweight, beginner-friendly, minimal setup, and cross-compatibility. Try it now! (It is installed by default in all versions of windows.) -
Or you can switch to a text editor like vs code or spacemacs or glorious and almighty lord vi improved aka vim

Better IDE?? Haha what an excellent joke! There is no better IDE, especially not for C# though I also think its the best for front end work and even use it for PHP too.

Just use whatever tool you feel comfortable with. I can tell you my biggest issue just starting was that my tool was never good enough and I always needed the best. But, I didn't, because it doesn't matter as long as you are best in it. You will not learn by switching tools as many times as I did

I personally think Visual Studio is the best IDE out there. The only thing that can beat Visual Studio is your RAM...
