Grumm17972y@robbietoppert Well no based on the color of the hovered element (active) and the difference in contrast between the on and off state, we can deduct that the first one is 'off'.
-
@Grumm all selected states are a solid colour, and are attached to the border of the toggle. Hovering over a row makes the background that blueish colour. I’d assume they simply invert the colour scheme of the toggle to keep it visible.
It is a shit design either way. If there is confusion about the state of a toggle, you can’t expect much of the rest of the product. -
There is a special place in hell I am sure for all that promoted this ”toggle” component during the years.
My blood pressure literally increases when confronted with these monstrocities. -
Config Server Firewall I use in Centos as a WHM plugin has a billion of these switches. Not dangerous at all!

hjk10157312yAt least it's not a toggle so you can explicitly click the state you want it to be no matter the visual.
If it was a toggle it would be super confusing. -
Now imagine it would use skeuomorphism like the raised/sunken design of the original radio buttons (the physical ones as seen on actual radios of the seventies) - instant readability.
-
It looks ugly, but a select with on and off as the options works really well at communicating the state of a control.

Try to figure out what's “on” and what's “off”
