I have small dream. It's going with my dad to shenzhen. Especially with my dad because he's quite tech save despite his age. He once was a programmer and that property seemed never wasted. He still understands a lot, including how (different) training of AI work on concept level.

In the Netherlands we have the datacenter days. I want to attend but the date is not known yet and you have to submit your presense quite some months up front for security reasons. Want to attend there as well. For me, it's magic how they pop up so fast. Would love to learn more about it from a person directly.

Anyone ever been in Shenzhen or something related? What is something a nerd should see?

D&d is ok. I'm always chaotic evil. I would prefer persistent evil but that's not an option. One of my best friend is a dungeon master and he even considered to do it commercially. Did you know you can really hire a dungeon master? D&d is a way bigger world than i could've imagined.

@retoor if your experience differs from what christians define themselves by, why keep the christian label? You could say you believe in a god, but of no specific religion.

And btw that would be a much, much more defensible (and respectable) position than a christian one.

@Lensflare well, you do need to identify yourself in someway and I actually am aligned to church. A lot of things in my life is thanks to church. I do favor the community more than the religion itself. Did you know that religion is going upwards? More people do realize that it's better to live according some rules. Life's a game, what is a game without rules. Christianity will dominate. Mark my words.

@retoor No, theism is consistently declining over decades world wide (on average). Each year there are more people stating that they don‘t believe in god. Of course religions don’t like this fact and try to lie to you (very successfully) by telling you the opposite.

It‘s a common misconception from religious people that non-religions people don’t like rules and are anarchists. That‘s false propaganda as well.
