What made you stop to begin w/?
Burnout, the people for whom you used to work were morons, too demanding, just lost passion for it, something else? -
Maybe if you invested more time into that, as opposed to blabbing conspiranoic shit, you'd be able to...
But let me guess, I'm an incel and thus my opinion is worthless, despite everyone here telling you the same.
Good thing, keep hitting the strawman. -
Just make 1 year boot camp yourself, ask gpt to get you leet code style task based tasks for 365 days, pick up one task each day and solve it, parallely make notes on it how you solved or what goes where or pointers whatever, ensure not to use AI to solve those tasks, just try to fix it with suggestions shared in community forums only like stackoverflow. Starting will feel very disappointing, but once you are in consistency, you will top it. Skills like programming needs consistency than smart brains okay..

jestdotty578924h@CoreFusionX wow I think you ruined it
@D-4got10-01 so it's unironically people like that
if coding is the only thing I'm good for and I have no value as a person otherwise you can forget it -
jestdotty578924h@Waytopranav it's nothing like that
I keep salsa dancing but there's no good salsa music. so I'm actually gonna remake my music library so I can make some decent salsa songs. something techno, maybe some rock, or jazzy drums. I don't like the Latino vibes or how everything is romance or weird drama, and I don't like the organic notes because they confuse my ADHD. so I want something that helps me with this physical therapy of dancing
also I'm hanging out at this guy's place and we used to play screeps together. it's not that I lack ability just passion. I coded some crazy things in my lifetime -
D-4got10-01116522h@jestdotty Ever since the industry's been infiltrated by too many 'well-adjusted' people, the 'socially-awkward' ones that used to thrive in tech are suffering.
I sure wish this would be corrected soon. -
jestdotty578922h@retoor it was just cuz to be able to engage in my love for a project at work I kept being disrespected at a job until I self-hated my own love for the activity because it had put me into such a terrible position
and now I have issues. I feel like I somehow broke by that whole experience
145 iq feels like a cope but my mom didn't tell me until I got sick and couldn't remember 3 item grocery list. how can you go from 145 smarter than everyone everywhere to not even being able to remember to eat for 2 months?
I wrote some crazy things... I loved writing them... but my job didn't appreciate me like that. they just kept insulting me for some reason even though I was their whole tech department and wrote software they're still using 6 years later now... millions of dollars a year and they couldn't bother to pay me more than minimum wage. and kept saying retarded snippy shit
it's agreeing to engage with people like @CoreFusionX that ruins good things in one's life -
jestdotty578922h@D-4got10-01 quite frankly I don't think I was ever socially awkward. I think people who claim themselves to be socially adjusted are not at all. they're simply playing hierarchy games
just like you don't have to tell somebody you're 145 iq. you can just show it. oh are you well adjusted? well show me your social skills then instead of bullying me into "social compliance,". diplomacy is an aspect of social skills. where's yours? howcome I and everybody else feels uncomfortable and stressed when you're in a room with us? howcome all discussions stop, and we don't want to be there? howcome we just can't wait to run away because you just make our skin crawl, our minds race with your concerns instead of be tranquil and slowly rowing in our own?
these people are not socially adjusted. they're conning ya -
BordedDev140022h@retoor: A person. There defined ;P oh and when you read this, message me for a hug since it seems you need one ;P

D-4got10-01116521h@jestdotty > 'quite frankly I don't think I was ever socially awkward.'
To be fair to myself I'll just say that I never said I thought you were one.
I am on the socially-awkward side, which is how I've noticed the shift in the industry.
Either way it should be about the work you put in && nothing else.
If you're doing a good job, you are an asset to the company && you should be rewarded for that.
Alas... -
AlgoRythm4988319hThis post describes me after about 4 hours of not writing something.
It's incredible, because I love fishing and hiking and outdoors and after a long day of outdoors work all I can think about is how nice it would be to sit down with a nice drink and snack and hack away at some bullshit on the computer. -
jestdotty578919h@D-4got10-01 oh I didn't think you were calling me socially awkward
I just think it's no big deal if people are socially awkward. but there is a big deal about people who try to use it against others for some end which I've seen on some occassions -
D-4got10-01116518h@jestdotty > 'oh I didn't think you were calling me socially awkward'
Id didn't read like you were, but I still chose to cover my bases.
> 'I just think it's no big deal if people are socially awkward.'
Completely agree.
I haven't coded in so long I'm actually starting to miss it
