jestdotty587521dtechno, electronic stuff, electro swing
hmmm progressive rock
emo, grunge stuff (but more experimental not the pop stuff -- like they do trippy noise like rawtekk) can be lyricless also sometimes or at least the lyrics are so angsty they don't matter to me 🥁
piano stuff, orchestra stuff -
netikras3456021dLofi girl in youtube.
Solar quest - acid air raid [and likes] for night-time coding -
Hazarth912921dInstrumental, LoFi, Coffee shop ambiance, retro chiptune.
I can handle lyrics if I don't need to be too focused and Im just in the flow, but if I need deep focus then lyrics are very distracting to me -
CoreFusionX345021dHard rock/heavy metal.
I don't mind the lyrics, but any coworker around me (thanks WFH) will, because I'll likely subconsciously start singing along. -
D-4got10-01119121dAlmost exclusively Metal. The darker && heavier, the better. Growling, pig squeals are welcome.
Jinjer was a nice find.
Other than that, soundtrack from a game, or more rarely a movie can appear on my playlist. -
spongessuck613220dInstrumental funk is one of my favs; I like stuff I can bob my head to. I also find lyrics distracting.

Breakcore, Neurofunk and gaming OST( Hitman 2 Silent Assassin, Doom, Far Cry 5 etc). Also, there's a playlist on youtube titled "Concentration Programming Music".

qwwerty114619d@NaturalStupidiy gaming OSTs are great, because the whole purpose is to create atmosphere and keep you focused, while not being too distracting. one of the reason i'm avoiding stuff with lyrics while coding.
OST: Unreal Tournament and Forza 3+5 are also worth to mention.
midtempo EBM mixes from CybermodeBeats are great too. also, programming mixes from JimTV
What kind of music are you listening to while coding?
Is it instrumental or lyrical?
Sometimes songs with lyrics districts me
