    The downward spiral. The trick is to break out of it.

    Yeah man, that fucks me up too. I just play some Doom and pretend my thoughts are all those monsters that I splatter all over the walls. I feel way better after 15 minutes.

    Meditate and you will learn to let these thoughts pass by without judgement as if watching leaves float down a river. Thoughts can not be chosen, our reactions to them, however, can.

    @CodeMonkeyG same, only the game is BeamNG.drive, just crash a car a few times, fly a plane and land it, and by that time, I've already forgotten what I was up to.
