Technically it's the first option, since it's short for "superuser do" but fuck that. Sue-doe for sure

That piece of shit who pronounced it "sue-due", you shouldn't have beaten him to death.

Sue do. It's the only logical way to say it, considering the word is a short form of:
Superuser, do. -
GhostDev9256yI guess it depends on your mother tongue or most common spoken language how you pronounce it, speaking more than one language and understating that it's an English term I'm dealing with I go for a classic su do. Like it's spelled, someone who will read it without context and think they are dealing with, for example, Afrikaans will pronounce it as see-do (I know it sounds terrible but that would be how they read it). In this instance for the same reason the plural for octopus is octopuses instead of octopi since it's derived from a Greek word, you need to acknowledge where the word started, if in English, it would be su-do, if in Afrikaans you would probably be correct to pronounce it as see-do, and even then in the incorrect accent an Afrikaans person would not immediately grasp what you're talking about... in essence there is a correct way of pronouncing it, but there is also room to understand that people have different languages. That's all.

I pronounce it like pseudo. Because when I initially learned it, I didn’t learn it was short for ‘superuser do’ and instead thought it was a lazy spelling of pseudo since it’s a command to pretend you’re someone else. XD
