Hazarth93851dTo be fair to the police. Being a disgusting pig all day and then cleaning at the end isn't a great excuse either. Pretty sure raves could be done without people throwing garbage everywhere. Same goes for festivals n stuff
-
@Hazarth on an individual level, yes, the rule is you take your shit with you. But it's a public event. They have done the responsible thing. Every legal decently crowded event leaves a ton of trash behind.
Even if you put trashcans the garbage have to go somewhere and if the cops starts hitting you before you can clean, and then brings journalists to go on national TV and show the pile of trash, well that's propaganda -
if you are drunk and on drugs you can forget what your body is much less if you forgot something you were holding a moment ago
the act of constantly cleaning up after yourself is also kind of neurotic and ruins the vibes. I actually prefer this when sober but if I'm on drugs it really ruins the vibe. plus you can end up having a totally different perspective on trash then also... shit gets weird
so it makes more sense to clean up afterwards -
@12bitfloat yes.
Otherwise why would they have pre-paid and arranged for a container and a truck to dispose of a trash.
There was an illegal rave in france. The people had paid for a container to come and people stayed on the site to pick up their trash.
The police kicked them out BEFORE they could clean and then made videos about how ravers were disguisting.
