Lifting ain't the same as pushing. When pushing something fixed to an axis, you only need to beat the static friction coef of the axis, which doesn't depend on the size or or weight of the object, and in fact, larger size helps because you can generate more torque.
Lifting, on the other hand, requires you beating the gravitational pull on the object, which is directly tied to its mass, so if you don't exert enough force, no matter for how long you do it, you will never lift the object. -
But yes you can push a train wagon by yourself in theory, two or three people works better.

retoor84195d@antigermgerm just try it. Take a bottle of wine, don't use a lot of pressure but be patient. And plop, it goes open.

and here I've been hitting things with the butt end of my forks to warp the metal so I can open them
and I also cut plastic caps with a knife if I can't twist them (cuz it's held together by thinner plastic ridges to the other part of the cap). that probably still would apply, since the cap is like the counterforce of gravity

I guess ur like applying constant acceleration on the mass and it builds up until it moves -
@jestdotty
There's no such thing.
You can apply constant force, but it doesn't really accumulate over time.
Either you beat whichever force is acting against you or you won't get anything done.
(And you gotta keep beating it to keep things moving because we don't live in a frictionless vacuum) -
@retoor
You know, that kinda scared me a bit XD
I go by that alias on other places, but I guess it was derived from the capitals... Or wasn't it? 🧐
I mean, that's why I did it myself xd
Then again, I've given enough info here that anyone with time and half a brain cell could locate me, so no worries whatsoever.

I have as truck to open any bottle to be fast. But recently I was at a science museum. They had a big rock on a stick that you could turn around. They said, you can turn it with one finger. Just push slowly and long enough. And it worked, all heavy things are easy to lift by keeping to push with some patience. I do it with bottles right now and with using little power and just some patience *plop*.
It blew my mind.
