    That's situation in Belgium? Hmm. If you had two good employers or so and have the first credibility it will be all right. Register all your time that you didn't work as freelance.

    @retoor turned 50 this year and as companies want youngsters that cost little and can still be manipulated, I blame it on that.
    I'm thinking of start working in retail or something similar
  • 2
    @bedawang oh, that's though. When it comes to freelancing age matters less right? It's more an age problem than IT specific I guess. Sad to hear :(
  • 1
    @retoor have not walked the freelance path yet, I should consider it.
  • 2
    @bedawang do it. It's great. You don't have to work for belgian people
  • 1
    Huh? Theyre only looking for young people? Everywhere I look the positions are senior Java / C# Engineers with 10 years on the belt.

    @retoor aw he's vlams?

    contrary to what i said i love vlams pople they're like us just dutcher

    @Chewbanacas you must have ten years of experience and be under 25. Otherwise you're too old and you cost too much

    Don't like it? Start earlier. What were you even doing the first ten years of your life?
  • 1
    @Chewbanacas seniors and juniors yes, no mediors. 4 years in C# is just not enough...

    hmmm seems fine to me actually

    @antigermanist ill try harder next time. Achsually, my first hello world was with 14, with c# even. I sat in front of the blinking cursor not having a clue what to do until i found the name pf the programming language to google. And this is where we entered the dead harambe timeline
