Mistakes happen. It's great that they didn't keep quiet about it and let it pass, they legally could've done so if they'd have chose to.

Nobody asking how the log of a plaintext password is
1) able to happen (as in why is it obviously stored, encrypted or not, unhashed?)
2) normal by any means

1) It has to be sent to the server in plain text to be hashed. :)
2) It was a bug in their logger, GitHub had the same issue
