    pixelhunter huh, you're registered to the Molodetz.nl newsletter now! Don't worry, it's free. We do share our data with partners tough like JAMES THE HACKER.

    Also Buffon works for Molodetz now. He became lead developer of the Ragnar anti spam system with his experience. We're very happy with him. He gets paid what he is worth now.

    @kiki Holy F! Pixelhunter is beautiful but make the page scroll down smootly or smth after upload! I had the picture uploaded and had NO IDEA what was happening or what i had to do.

    Ok, I checked again and there is in the right bottom corner a download all button that is always displayed doing absolutely nothing (on linux chrome). I didn't see the button initially, so the arrow down didn';t have much function.

    Tbh, I would consider this issue critical. I am more motivated to invest time to figure out what the site did than average internet user I guess, so i scrolled down in the end.

    Scrolling down with smooth effect would make the site perfect. Or add just simple text that you can find the pictures in all sizes below would suffice too. See screenshot, nice design, but that not working button is just not where you're looking after uploading a picture on the left side.

    I just have a page in front of me with no info in exception that i've uploaded.

    @retoor thx for the feedback. this button works and downloads all cropped pics when you upload yours. I won't touch this website, because it's a part of my experiment to prove a point — I believe that you can build a working, good-enough product once and make it work without any amendments indefinitely. Pixelhunter operates without changes since 2021. It had recently celebrated 1 TB of pics uploaded.

    @retoor pixelhunter processes a lot of pics every day without any involvement or advertisement.

    @kiki it could've had 2Tb if it was more clear. But indeed, amazing stats. How much of it is porn?

    Also, look how much time I invest in you :) Aren't I the sweetest? https://devrant.molodetz.nl/working...

    Your button really doesn't button.

    @retoor thanks :D and your link doesn't link and your video doesn't video

    @kiki What are you talking about? I just click on it, it's your freaking browser. What the F are you using? It's just a plain http response. do wget https://devrant.molodetz.nl/working...

    @retoor ah, wait

    I forgot how it worked. See those circle checkboxes on pics? If you select multiple pics like this, this button will download them.

    your point still stands though — it's confusing as hell. this product was made in six days in manic state. it all made perfect sense then.

    every single last bit of my mental fuel is now diverted to my new project, the magnum opus I'm working on for 6 months already, that is unprecedented in its scale and quality. no one ever did what I'm about to do.

    every minute spent on pixelhunter is a minute not spent on my new product

    @kiki works with a basic html5 video component. I linked the video in the legendairy Snek chat application and it works like a (py)charm

    @kiki I do understand that. Can't you trick your wife in doing it for ya? How much AI is used for this product BTW? What does it do exactly? Or did you just use the word AI because everything is AI if you're brave enough?
  • 2
    @retoor I appreciate you immediately sinking your (admittedly sharp) teeth into my UI. you will be the second person after my autistic wife to have an opportunity to demolish my new project's UI too
  • 2
    @retoor pixelhunter crops your pics to popular social media formats, centering the interesting part. bear in mind, I made it hype up AI in 2021, way before it was mainstream. AI is provided by an external API, and I say so in the hero section.

    @kiki would love to! And i would appreciate if you would check Snek too in a few weeks when it's more developed. The AI part - which is only a side functionality (bots) - that are not even part of the project - (a rocket chat alternative) - took a lot of time for several reasons. But also, the project is distracting itself, it's a lot of fun and a lot of time is actually spent using it. Kinda the opposite of my other projects. I have a few reasons to invest time in this project, but when it comes to fun of development itself, i can imagine more fun ones. Another software in C without GUI that nobody will use or appreciate in exception of me. To be fair, my products are made for 'advanced' usage and are only support 'happy flow'. My tools will crash if you don't give the right parameters. But when right parameters are given, it will have no memory leaks and is fully tested on that in multiple ways. It's just not donkey / consumer proof. Nobody will use it anyway.

    @retoor same mentality here
