Everyday I fell my soul being sucked by this job.

We have too much liberty and it's all scattered, every fucking project uses a different framework.

Everything is a mess, no one seems to care and I'm feeling like shit for being the only one that seems to care.

Every time I start job hunting I fell depressed because of this nonsense bullshit they call job requirements.

Just wanna run away from this mess and never look back.

    So drop it. Learn some software architecture. Find a software architecture job and let the others deal with shitty frameworks :)

    Damn that hits hard, feels like you described the shit hole I'm in.
    Is there no possibility to enforce or at the very least encourage a working standard at your workplace?

    I am really new to the business/work environment but I can say that I feel this too. I think as you already said, the lack of pressure and direction just results in everybody sort of dicking around and doing their own thing instead of cooporating.

    I am already thinking about ways to solve this... but I dont see an ideal solution yet.. I think what we need is a set of standardized modular tools so that everybody is on the same page and we can more easily use foreign tools. Even though we are already trying to accomplish this, I think we need to put more effort into it because it is very difficult do do for a field as evolving as software development

    @simulate that problem with modular tools have been around for about 50 years. It seems like it somehow related to the fundamental problems of computing, so it hard to believe that it'll be ever solved with our hardware

    @uyouthe
    I think its more some sort of logical issue. There just are too many possible combinations of simple modules so we wrap them up to larger modules and those depend on other modules and that just gets extremely confusing. But maybe that is just what its like with flexible tools. And I think nothing is as flexible as software.

    @uyouthe
    But I think it would be really nice if we could just standardize more stuff. All this platform haggle is just a pain to learn.

    @simulate it is. Why we just can't stick to unix and git modules...

    I'm not.

    Thank you.

    @azous what do you mean with 'this particular comment'?
    I was just asking since I've sent you a mail 10days ago and received no answer, sorry for asking...

    But it's fine, I'm no recruiter, I don't mind too much...
