Tech lead keeps scheduling meetings over my fuckin lunch break. I have a calendar slot to block those times off, and prevent people from scheduling meetings over it.

There is literally nothing else scheduled in his calendar. It's like when you're in a fairly empty bus and someone comes and sits next to you.

Just speculating but maybe they are from a different time zone?

He's sending a signal that he's willing to work through lunch, and challenging everyone else to pipe up and say actually I'd rather eat.

People who do that are usually bitter because they never built anything that worked.

move your lunch somewhere else on the calendar

I'd be upset if they then moved their meetings to my lunch like it was some kind of harassment campaign

maybe they got a really busy schedule idk. what's it matter to you? presumably you're working remotely. otherwise I'd have taken them with me on lunch (and if they're eating lunch at a different time I'd be saving them even more time plus people like those they eat with better =])

@jestdotty no, we had a discussion about how we all prefer to work, and he's really new to the company and I explained how I've blocked some times off in my calendar for stuff and he was fine with it. He keeps scheduling meetings over other meetings I have in my calendar. I don't understand why, because when you're using Outlook or MS Teams to schedule meetings, you can see there's a conflict and it even suggests other times. I looked at his calendar and he's literally only got standup in there, nothing else :D It's open all day. And he's one of those people who don't look at your MS Teams status, he'd try calling me when I'm either in a meeting or my status has been set to be right back. People just don't seem to pay attention.

I don't know what it is...
