It was the opposite for us. My mother never wanted us to go out and as a result I have barely any outdoor hobbies.
-
I partly feel bad for being an asshole but I'm only this way because I know someone eventually will have to go I there and edit that code.
-
I tell myself that every time there's an issue at EOD and then there's the other obsessive side of me that needs to resolve the issue. Keyword: need.
-
@knuppelsmurf my senior dev allowed it cause we're a data company, and allowing our UI dept to grow will sink in UXUI importance
-
@georgelynch exactly. Higher up wanted more bodies working on the site even though she came in with no coding knowledge
-
@Morningstar missed it, my b. But to address those issues, I've Googled all my issues with sublime. You could also Google a license for sublime too (sorry sublime!) if it really annoys you. I agree it's not the prettiest but it allows the developer for maximal tweakability.
-
But you never stated why you don't like sublime. If it looks ugly you can theme it easily with the package installer. You don't have to manually download and install. Easy breezy installations. I started using brackets too and it's very similar. It's extremely powerful for being free.

This makes me more irrationally angry than it should.
-
A lot of developers tell me it's experience over the degree type if you're looking to get into software developing. If you want it just for the title, don't get it. You'll do better getting experience in the field.

Double tap, then drag up for zooming out, drag down for zooming in. Or vice versa, I don't remember which

You guys have wives

Great point, discrete math left some mental scars.
-
Left option. Second is just...wrong
-
I love this
-
@heyheni yeah I agree they shifted the settings around and it's harder to find things.
-
Dabbled in it but I wouldn't call myself one lol
-
tl;dr have enough money to buy video games now... Not interested in playing video games anymore because adulting kills joy
-
Dev* not device!
-
@YoungWebRebelz great point! Hahaha
-
@dshorten I've always been a PC guy but Unix is more convenient.
-
GUI always failed at something when I used it so I ended up having to open up git bash and fix the errors anyway. I used to be scared of the command line but it's seriously easier to use than the GUI, granted I only used Githubs GUI.

Build software for clients
-
@erasmuswill I do use git but I'm talking about small tutorials I experiment on not professional level stuff
-
Comment out just in case I need to revert the changes
