Side projects, also, when I read something interesting I make a small example using it myself to understand it, well some other things too like: attend meetups, pair programming, helping buddies with their issues (you don't have to know everything to give a hand), read blogs/books

I love how my boss wants to use libraries for everything, even the most minor task needed he looks up for a library to do it, I think that sometimes he even spends more time looking for a library than the time he would spend writing the functionality
e.g. Roles for routes permissions, dude, you have the users role in session you can just write a middleware with ~15-20 lines of code to get them rid of the route come on

I met a senior node.js developer for the first time and had a talk with him, really, I did not know how junior I was until I talked with him, everything he told me about node was just amazing, I mean, I describe myself as a good developer but he has the knowledge I would like to have someday, I loved node since I met the runtime and I follow many node/js programmers that are really good at it and I admire them, but having the opportunity to have an hour and something talk with one of them was really amazing and gave me more reasons to succeed and how to take that place, well I have to say this as per what I've already write -> nohomo

Make an awesome app that lets devs rant about their daily basis and no one bites an eye, change the way they navigate and everyone loses their head

Everyone that says it sucks because there is a new framework everyday, dude, you know that just because there is a new framework it's not a must for you to change your stack to it right? Also, you can find very valuable frameworks with this diversity

If you can, attend programming contests, code retreats, and meetups, you'll learn a lot from that, experiences like have a fun talk with mate devs about this awesome environment while drinking some beers or eating some pizza is fantastic
