After using edge chromium, I never switched back to chrome.

I brought Asus Tuf A15 half the price of Mac. I am happy about my choice because I can upgrade till 32 Gb of Ram and boot is super fast, I use windows and they recently introduced windows subsystem Linux where I can use Linux over terminal and Docker support. I used my old Dell for 5 years but it had a little crack on top bezel, applied a small tape and covered it with Linux penguin sticker, pretty much usable. Two laptops combined don't add upto 1 Mac price.

Setup a VPN, setup strong antivirus, Install adblocker on all browsers, use plugins to stop file uploads, there can be other strong restrictions in place.

Did you run your unit tests after merge. When you do a manual merge beware.

Keep the system running, you're not supposed to be good, I felt they don't care. True story.

Fresh grads don't get taught about coding standards at school, they are focussed on cracking interviews and rightly so. To swallow pride, in a work environment everyone should be humble, that doesn't happen most of the time.

This is accurate atleast for me, I think about them, procrastinate sometimes and deliver in time with proper unit test recording. If there is a deadline that means you can use it to your comfort levels, but what I also feel is if something can be done before deadline, why procrastinate. Motivation plays a bigger role here, if I am motivated I don't procrastinate, else I tend to probably. Thanks for sharing insightful.

I am using edge chromium that comes with windows. I don't feel the difference. Also there are some settings in edge that offer better privacy than chrome and firefox is best alternative as well. I used brave in my old laptop, good browser with inbuilt tor functionality.

Put a pomodoro timer, work for 25 minutes straight and tell yourself, you will get a treat after that 25 minutes. Treat yourself without forgetting :) Repeat it, if you like eating chocolates, you will gain a lot of weight (lol).

At least in our country it sucks not because of quality but due to the product pricing. You can get one Acer Nitro and Asus Tuf gaming laptops at the price of one mac book pro.

My company taught me a good lesson, if you do awesome job that is because you are paid to do so, if you atleast once messup it's highlighted and creates a bad impression. Everyone does mistakes, what perplexes me is that its always blame game than learning from that mistake.
