@filthyranter relax, it's simply an over the top silly image.
-
You should listen to your Dad.
-
Perfection :)
-
For the love of everything holy. My client has just sent a screenshot of their site. Due to the original adjustments they required the site now has space below the footer and the bottom of their screen.
They want me to reduce this "gap".
:/ -
@oudalally Yep defo, he's just paid me too, which is basically within 2 hours of me invoicing him :)
-
@cursee the big problem with WordPress is the low entry barrier. Compare that to say magento where there is an initial learning curve and you suddenly get, in general, more experienced developers using and extending it.
-
@silverstar unfortunately not a beginner. It was a freelancer that was paid upwards of £8k for the site.
-
@stisch trust me, you don't :/
-
@CurseMeSlowly that's a possibility I'm sure my client would actually go with.
Ironically the subject area is quite sensitive. I'm still surprised he wishes to fake live support. :/ -
Unless I'm not understanding correctly, isn't this a case of taking something a client said too literally? Surely you'd need to calculate a scaling factor based the total number of logos and a minimum logo size (so it remains visible).
-
@electrineer Pretty sure you can disable them yep. Doubt he knows. He had tunnel vision earlier today - permanent "live chat" status without any agents. That was his focus. I'm sure I'll open my ticketing system on Monday to find a "bug" about notifications :) I believe he has a pretty old Galaxy S5 phone too.

As with everything, learn yourself through experimentation and pain.
-
Something nothing related to coding
-
@droo It's not a service as such. It's a signup form for an event. Children get given gifts based upon their gender/age.
-
Font is Operator Mono Book
-
Font is perfect.
-
@danzig666 True, unfortunately very True.
-
It's not so much how to implement the request, as that's easy.
It frustrates because the task is a reflection of the last few years, political correctness etc .
I know even 2 years a request like the one here would be unheard of. -
That isn’t “all” the variables. Sure I’ll be able to think of some not declared.
-
I bet the person asking the question felt so smug after kit left their mouth.
-
Perfection!
-
Granted, the client obviously sounds silly to people in the know. To me it looks like a case of the client not knowing. Why not explain why their request isn’t possible and the options they have.
Each to their own, but I certainly wouldn’t stop working with a client over something like this :/ -
Hell, if that’s what the client wants give it them. It’s work for yourself and at the end of the day their system.
-
Gladly, here’s a quote for the required work ...
-
Love stuff l like this
-
Ha, priceless :) it’ll still offend some though as they’ll feel limited by the options presented :/
-
Eh? Explain further .... :)
-
Just read that back. The loadash library has been imported in its entirety so the developer could use the "join" function.
-
@luckyNmber I think the lesson here is to use the best tool for the job.
-
@trilleplay nope, he's a client not a developer :)
