@mantekillah yep!
-
@aile11 ah. Well, I hope you find a job that you love. Don't settle for anything less. And (imo), make sure you find one with a flexible work schedule. I work from home 3 days a week and I love it <3
-
@aile11 word. Have you just graduated or something?
-
@aile11 they don't happen too often...but when they do, it makes you want to smack someone. I don't mind helping customers, that's a big part of being a dev. I just get irritated when my time is wasted because people tell me something is broken when all that's wrong is a knowledge gap.
-
@ragnarr023 so did you bust his ass?
-
@ragnarr023 also not sure about the legal of the recording, but for real, walk that shit to HR. What he said to you was full on verbal abuse - you would be saving yourself and your coworkers (even though by what you've said - your coworkers suck) ....get his ass FIRED.
YOU have the upper hand now. Enjoy. -
The environment in which you have just described would give me nightmares....dear Lord
I would annoy the shit out of him by being as kind as possible, and pointing out his stupidity along the way. You already know you're in a shitty situation...line up a new job and make him look bad in the meantime....maybe you can get him fired.
No joke - I had a shitty manager before. She was a nightmare...flirted with all the guys and was a b*tch to all the girls. I was so nice to her while i pointed out her flawed opinions time after time that it made her skin boil...the one day I guess my kindness + making her look stupid in front of others pushed her too far and she threw a glass vase against the wall and shattered it. My work was complete. I got a new job and left. 2 days later, she got fired. I ended up going back after 6 months and it was perfect from then on. -
@karma karma: *drops mic* ...lol well thank you for sharing some of your experiences with me tho...i will now have a higher bar for what I want from a new job 😊
-
@karma too cool....ive kind of settled on a "blah" job because 1. I'm good at it 2. The remote capabilities are what I want and 3 it's super close by....i feel sometime I will change up tho for something awesome ....hopefully it's half as cool as what you've been able to be a part of :)
-
@karma wow....that is so cool!! Congrats on being awesome lol
What other neat projects or apps have you been a part of? -
@hbbq but....but....
I do see your point tho.... 😊 -
@f03n1x what's the "b"?
-
@hbbq not to me....not at all
I grew up with PEMDAS and the one on the left makes me want to cry. I say the answer is 1. 😋 -
...lol epic! This taught me that I need to be more clever....hmmm
-
@No-one guess it just depends on which rants you end up reading and how involved with the conversation you get 😊
-
Yay! So many....k - question 1: how did you get introduced to such a cool job?
-
Smarty pants 😁 ...good luck choosing!
-
@crypvot not for me - that's my whole point.
-
@karma wow! If you ever go into more detail about that experience, tag me....i would really like to read about it :)
-
Damn...thats neat
-
@sam9669 at least for me it is
-
I used to have nightmares about stupid crap like that with the job I had in college...
This is just an indicator that the job you have now isn't for you. As soon as you find the right one, they will subside. Good luck! -
...lol!
-
Haaaaa....adorbs ❤
-
@karma lol I might take you up on that 😋
-
@karma not gonna lie, that sounds pretty cool too 😁
-
@Codebeard to play the game tho i would prob have to say it in my head and write down all the rules to verify... outside of normal "rock, paper, scissors" rules it gets confusing lol 😝
-
@Codebeard so.....to add to my dorky side....as soon as I watched that BBT episode, I googled it and memorized it....because I think it's awesome lol
-
@karma nice! I enjoy doing UI work...is one of my happy places I can escape to lol (I know, I know, I'm a dork 😝)
Additional favs of mine: any graphics work I can get my hands on, any changes to any of the calculations we maintain (my math skills are on point!), and report automation (i.e. here is the spreadsheet I want generated when I click a button) ....😊 -
....the comments continue 😄
