Do you guys do any sort of meal planning / prepping (based on caloric intake / macro nutrients)? If so how much time is usually spent on the plan itself, and how long in the kitchen? Also how did you come up with said plan?23

What do you guys do for fitness? Is there anyone you follow? Do you use apps? Do you work out at home, in the gym, or just walk during the day?19
-
Probably working for a scientific research firm and building in house tools for collection and analysis of data...

Coding completely changed my life. After roughly 8 years in construction management, and one rough divorce, I decided my life needed a change, so I dropped my high paying construction job and learned web development. 3 years later learning to code was the 2nd best decision I ever made (1st was to get a divorce)2

Serious question, what is the use case for Arch? From all that I hear about how complicated it is it doesn't sound very practical3

Question for all the WP Haters: what do you use as a CMS in place of WordPress?? I am a fan of WP for an easy to use / deploy CMS, but am looking for other CMS to test out.6

The fuck is up with r/web_programming? At first I thought all the completely uneducated questions were funny, but now it's just frustrating

I started to learn by scripting my daily processes and tedious tasks while I was a project manager in construction. Then realized construction was slowly killing me, so I quit, got serious about learning web development (through various online sources), landed a paid internship, and went from there.

Everyday:
Colleagues: I hate when the client wants to make last minute design changes the day we are supposed to launch when they have had MONTHS to bring them up..
Today:
Me: we are supposed to launch our site today (our own agency site that we have been working on and reviewing as a group for about a year), so please take some time to go through and make sure there are no GRAMMATICAL errors.
Colleagues: *send huge lists of minor design changes that are CRITICAL* -
I was construction management for ~9 years, then I quit with really no back up plan, and decided to pursue a career in development. After a little self education I started checking Craigslist every day for internships/entry positions, and applied for all of them. Within a couple weeks I found a company willing to give me a shot, 2 years and a few agency jumps later in Still kicking.

I think it really depends on the person attending (why they want to be a developer, how they learn, their ability to apply what they learn etc) I think these bootcamps serve a good purpose by making helping people achieve their goals. I will say that pop culture has set some pretty unrealistic standards for what it is like being a developer, and a lot of the bootcamps are propagating that misconception

Who here writes their own selenium tests??Is it worth writing them yourself or better to use browserstack?
-
Trying to come up with a good Easter egg idea for a site...Any fun unique ideas? I was thinking of having a randomly placed invisible button that when clicked turns all images to Nicholas Cage...8

So is jQuery ajax still the go to for ajax loading pages? Looking for modern alternatives but coming up with nothing...
I have nothing against using jQuery...5 -
I know it's an age old question, but how does everyone do their cross browser testing? Im looking for a way to automate this (ie. Browserstack)2
-
Lately been working in deployment, automation, and optimization. (Web) im very open to hearing how people are doing this with various technology stacks.2

Anyone else have the new MacBook pro, and feel like they are working off of the flying spaghetti monster?1

My introduction to programming was while I was working in construction management trying to automate alot of the really boring stuff and stream line processes...

What kind of Enterprise software are we talking about here? If you want long term stability I would never dream of implementing non Enterprise grade software...and if a non Enterprise software is good it will eventually become Enterprise software...
