I just uploaded the first part of my first programming tutorial, and I want to make sure I’m headed in the right direction and I’m not being overly confusing. The tutorial is unfinished (I’ve really only written the very start) but I think early input would be beneficial.

Some context: LibLib is a library I make for Minecraft mod development, and I’m documenting the GUI framework in it.

TFW you can’t figure out why your code is only running once, then realize that you forgot to put it in a loop.

(It’s in a try catch block so my brain interpreted that as a loop)

I’m trying to document a library I work on, and I need to figure out where to host it. Ideally it would be free so if I ever move on I don’t have recurring costs. I would mostly be hosting tutorials there.

Any suggestions?

TFW a method is acting weirdly, and after much investigation you find that you forgot to change the contents of the method when you copied it.

Linux update! After spending the weekend installing and configuring Ubuntu, I decided I instead wanted ElementaryOS. I then proceeded to install that in an hour and 45 minutes. -_-

Anyway, I'm pleased with the result, and hopefully this will be good enough that I make the switch for real by buying a non-apple computer when I have the money--and urgent enough need--for an upgrade.

@linuxxx’s recent post inspired me to try out linux again and see if I want to use it as my primary OS. My past experience with linux has always been endless fiddling with settings or drivers or whatnot, so I was wondering if you’ve got advice on what level of complexity is appropriate in solutions. E.g. if using the terminal and changing a bunch of config files is normal, or if that is generally unsustainable on the long term.
