are you set up with ddos protection? because I have a feeling you can take a heavy load.
-
Alternatively, to get started in a language, using a framework and following a tutorial can be a decent introduction to a language. But you will always end up realizing you MUST know the language.
-
I learned my ankle like 10 times as a kid
-
This is why I always think that if programming is your passion, exercise it in OS.
-
@Flarp that was the reference lol
-
Node works successfully and efficiently for many people, but magically is a horrible piece of software that simply doesn't work.
-
@jckimble yet you boarded the train smh have some conviction
-
@apex this is the worst type of mentality. Tutorials are a great supplement to documentation, because documentation and source code are not always intuitive. A skilled developer should make use of all resources available to them, and if they can, make resources availability to others via helping with documentation or writing tutorials, articles, etc. that help explain concepts.
-
I mean, not realizing something that doesn't matter isn't that big a deal.

@linuxer4fun
"any language that does this is garbage" === "I do not like to have to _think_ when programming" -
@skonteam you're trolling
-
@philcr For me, lately I've been working in cross platform technologies anyway, so the only time I use virtualization is for testing on other platforms or running certain services in a controlled environment. I do understand your necessity though and why it's a good solution.
-
@philcr I get you. I guess I'm just biased against VMs, though I use them a lot as a supplement to my primary environment.
-
@philcr no, they won't. Not powerful enough to seriously consider a vm as the primary environment
-
@philcr yeah a lot of people don't have that luxury.
-
@philcr how much did you pay for your computer?

@sjzurek I assume you're speaking of line endings? I suppose when you say that windows sucks, you really mean "I am not able to handle windows as a development target/environment".
-
@sjzurek because it's really not that hard to use, it's a common target, it's a tool like any other tool requiring an understanding of the ecosystem. If you have a hard time using windows, you don't understand windows.
-
JavaScript and node, like any other language or framework, can be used effectively when used right. It is not hard to use it right, it just requires some forethought and understanding of the ecosystem.
-
You're gonna need to get weather data yourself and go through it on your own. Also probably should update it more than once a day.
-
Alright, I'll bite. Why? And in what context? Like, give me an example where you disapproved of the use of a class.
-
Pretty sure it's Rick.

@mazabin Nah, that's an extra feature. A proper password manager manages passwords well.
