@segfault0xff this may be the most succinct (not to mention hilarious) summation of events I have read.
Hats off to you! -
@billgates absolutely. You actually have a variety of ways to tackle the problem you are describing with Spring (Boot).
I would highly recommend giving it a shot. You won't be disappointed :) -
You can use Spring Boot which uses embedded tomcat by default. You can also swap out tomcat for jetty if you like.
-
Pretty much lol. The logic was fairly basic from what I remember. We'd generate the ID and then check for 'the mark'. If it was found, the ID would be thrown out and a new one generated.
-
Yea, there's definitely some CSS styling gone awry. Have to work on that 😉. I'll get a ticket written up
-
Life's too short to stay in a job you hate. Glad you are getting out and Congrats on the new gig!
-
Congrats! And looking forward to the new features!
-
For those who want to know, google Safetype Keyboard.
Apparently the side mirrors are to help you see the keys if you are making a lot of mistakes.
Kinda neat! -
I do my best to limit myself to 8 hrs a day because I spend at least 2 hours (on a good day) in the car.
I WFH on Fridays though, so it balances out somewhat. -
It's sad how familiar these are 😑
-
Nice! I am waiting for GPU prices to come down some before pulling the trigger on my new rig. Haven't upgraded in ~5 years or so now. Planning to replace everything but my PSU.
-
Have you looked at the Spring suite of open source projects?
-
@Shazbot311 no problem! And that's a good attitude to have lol.
-
Don't get too attached to your choice of formatting. Many places you end up working for have their own coding standards. For instance, where I work we don't allow braces on their own line.
Just a friendly heads-up 😁 -
@Gogeta70 That is pretty awesome! That's the first I've heard of doing something like that. How much time have you put into it so far?
-
@620hun That's pretty slick! So I assume that was a 'dumb' printer to start with? Just a basic Ethernet port on it?
-
Metal \m/ all the way!
-
Give him time. He'll learn.
-
If you have the time and spare sanity, you can try configuring gpu pass-through on a KVM windows machine. It would give you near-native performance on games.
-
That's a pretty busy-looking service you have there. We have a general rule-of-thumb where I work: If you are injecting more than 5 dependencies into your services, it probably should be broken apart or refactored.
It has served us fairly well over the past couple years. We've gone back in some instances and cleaned up some pretty coupled code. -
Congratulations to you and your family!
Hopefully you get some time off to enjoy the new addition! -
My team needs these badly!
-
@Huuugo No, I have it right 😁. This thing holds 30 oz of beer. That makes for a lot of rant 'inspiration' lol.
-
So what I hear you saying, is that you don't like nvidia...
-
Thank goodness for this. I hate when I am debugging some Java errors and it turns out to be tree sap.
-
Congrats on the cat!
One day I hope to have one myself. It's been a dream of mine since about a week ago... -
@iam13islucky ^^^ this.
-
I've had that same issue sporadically. For instance, a couple days ago it was pretty constant after opening the app up. Yesterday and today I haven't noticed it happening at all
-
@f03n1x You rock!
