@tekashi @tekashi BTH at 11? Skeptical.
-
The main problem with learning to write BASIC is that afterwards you will be completely retarded.
-
I'm having a pretty hard time imagining what it actually means to dream in HTML. Sounds like bullshit but I'm glad you are excited. Start learning underlying programming concepts next as you learn JS, fundamentals will serve you well.

@Fast-Nop Data that writes to the database should ALWAYS be sanitized client side and server side. I think were in agreement but just wanted to stress that it should never be just one even if it's getting done server side.

Showers put your brain in a state that is conducive to problem solving and imaginative thinking. Why everyone says they get their best ideas in there.

I only jerk off to porn using my crypto mining rig.

1. Dont use Discord, its one of the most heavily monitored communication methods.
2. Get a password that is more random and isn't listed somewhere in the top 10,000 passwords of 2018 list.
3. 2FA all accounts that allow it
4. Check haveibeenpwnd to see if your accounts have already been included in a data dump
5. Stop being mean to innocent help desk people who already are living lives of quiet desperation without some lady who cant take proper control of her accounts or take responsibility for her own mistakes screaming at them. If my account was compromised that easily I would feel ashamed, not be sending emails in all caps to overworked and underpayed people who had nothing to do with the situation. -
Brute force attacks, social engineering, and covertly gaining local access, and many other non-technical exploits all fall under the "hacking" umbrella. Kinda seems like it is you who doesnt understand what hacking is.
Most pen test teams will try everything else possible first, including just breaking into the office with a lockpick set and copying hard drives, before they attempt a technical code and protocol based hack. -
I had the internet well before this game was released with windows 95. Were you even alive for this?
-
@AleCx04 I had a "senior dev" chew me out for saying basic jQuery without any plugins has been completely useless since ES6 got wide support.
-
Just use SCSS and write a damn mixin my dude.

Hate that bracket style

They are using their captchas to train their AI

@ColdFore No, you probably understand the picture, you're ignorant because you dont understand the difference between "your" and "you're" but you still manage to criticize others who are actually right.
"You're" is a contraction for "you are". Now let me ask you, does the sentence "Bring out you are dead" sound right or make any sense? "Your" on the other hand is possessive. "Bring out your dead", as in, bring out the dead which belong to you. That is the phrase and their spelling was correct.
Maybe you should try to ensure you are actually correct in the future before you correct people's spelling or grammar, if that is something you feel you absolutely must do. -
The only people who knew it was dev day were a small subset of developers, so it's not really a "day" at that point, is it? If you told a non-dev it was programmer day there response would be, "Um... ok?"at best
-
I know you're ranting, but you sound like an elitist and a completely classist dickhead.
-
@starrickcrwford Oh ok, dont usually see freshmen with internships so that's surprising. good for you then!
-
@M1sf3t Probably as I suspected then and the feature was removed when they moved away from Flash video to native HTML. Probably too difficult/impossible to implement that on html video, or the cost was too high relative to how many people would actually see it for long enough to use it given that load times are so rare now.

@Jilano The Code documentation says that they go further than GDPR in protecting privacy, and that you can turn off all telemetry including crash reports with two settings. I'm not saying I dont believe it's possible they're lying, but if I'm going to compile my own binaries every time there is an update to my editor I'd like to be sure it is worth it and not a fools errand (especially given that if you own a smartphone but compile your own editor to avoid usage tracking on that you are counting grains of sand on a beach at best)
-
@Jilano I'm not surprised by that at all, but how much telemetry are we talking about here once it's been set to off?
Are we talking about crash reports or my browser history?
The Code documentation claims that the only telemetry collected once its turned off is crash reports, and that you can turn those off too with another setting -
Why are you doing two internships in a row? You should be using the first internship to get a full time salaried position. If you are doing real work for your current company I dont see why you would wait an entire year and then just get another internship next summer. Why are you cheating yourself out of being paid fairly?

@monkeyboy it's a joke dude

Right, but NaN != NaN so it's not so simple to check if she is who she says she is after we've found her!
-
You can turn off telemetry natively in VSCode with a single option, so what is codium for?
And VS Code is a lot better than Atom, I've tried all the editors and VS Code is def the best out of the modern ones. -
@SukMikeHok Sounds like you need a better job or fewer expenses.
-
@M1sf3t That was probably a flash video, wondering If it's possible just using html5 native video... in any case I havent had to wait for a video to load on YouTube in years now.
-
I keep a z-index map with all my values in my variables partial so I can see all my values in one place and keep them low

Beats are overpriced Chinese produced nonsense for teenagers obsessed with branding. There are much better headphones for much cheaper. If your CEO is buying you gifts like that it's time to figure out if your salary is fair because he may be buying you those because he is trying to keep you happy being underpayed. Headphones, overpriced as they are, are still considerably cheaper than actually raising your standard of living because of your high performance level. When people do well at their jobs as adults they should be getting raises and bonuses that are in the thousands of dollars, not a set of headphones like they finally sold enough magazine subscriptions for their high school. Don't be so easily bought when you have an incredibly valuable and rare skillset.

@samsepiol It is a small system of symbols, it isn't really that complicated if you have a cheat sheet handy and puzzle it out one section at a time.
