When you miss a deadline you knew you were going to miss since the beginning of the project.
Feels good! -
I love when my lead decides that we need to do "proper" agile after he got talked to by his boss for not running the team the right way.
Even after being talked to, he still hasn't closed out the last sprint, and we are now four days into the current one without any assigned tasks, and he hasn't been in the office the entire week.
I love my job <3 -
I got my dev ducks in recently (React, C++ and C#) but brought them to work before I took pictures and now I can't show you guys because I am not allowed to take pictures at work.
Believe me, I have them.2 -
First rant incoming!
I love when bizDEV people who are clearly not technical try to be technical. I mean I get when you want to try and understand something and I am totally down for letting you in on why we (the engineers) decided to do something a certain way. When you then go and tell us “no” and give the reason of “because I said so” it really doesn’t still well. Then you wonder why we don’t want to talk to you about anything? I mean it doesn’t take a genius to figure out you know nothing about anything we are doing but sure, why don’t we just go along with your plan because you are totally omniscient.
Then he decided that he wants to be in all the “idea” discussions... I really don’t understand because my ideas are not scheduled and I am not going to set up a meeting and write them down for later so you can feel needed and important.
This project had such a good chance of becoming something great but I have a bad feeling it’s going to fail now because non technical people are in charge of technical decisions.
End of rant, thanks for listening.2 -
When you ask a bunch of C programmers to make an application in Java you get a main function that is 1,125 lines long because who needs OOP anyways? amirite?1

So today at work while trying to get a group of people together to play a game of foosball my boss comes up to my friend and starts talking with him.
The conversation then goes on to include the topic of a new hire coming onboard and my boss not wanting to take him into our team because he feels that the new hire isn’t smart enough.
I’m the time span of this argument/conversation I went and helped another coworker, bought a keyboard from a friend and also finished reading a 25 page white paper.
At the end he still doesn’t want to have the new hire on our team.
All I wanted to do was play a game of foosball 😥8
