@CatFoodParty I have the problem of not going home at 5pm as well. But what I've learned is, the job doesn't need to be done at 5pm, there's always tomorrow! We gotta do this job for years, decades, so why try to do everything in 1 sitting. It's silly really.

Considered it. But after all the covid events (got layed off but found a new place right away), I am happy to work one day less, as the opportunity appeared, to have more time for passion projects. Experience will have to show if that's enough as of yet

@d-fanelli I got the same. And right after the lay off I got a new job with a project. While previous company is thinking of giving up the whole software dept all together.

Oh I hate that so much! I have spellcheckers, why can't they use that?! Sometimes I couldn't find the variable cuz it was so fucked up. And when you're done refactoring, you think, another one pops up!

Dive deeper, what's there to prepare really? Laundry? You can do that on Monday too. For me, when i really start look at things, they don't matter that much. It's often the feeling that I have to that wears me, but not the real tasks at hand. To help me remember, i put in tasks/reminders on Sunday that i should try and relax xD that's my goal of the day, it's "selfcare sunday" :)

Ugh. It was so difficult when I had Greek coworkers who brought their native keyboards. Not easy in pair programming! Also Portuguese brought their keyboards. Always those symbols all over the place xD
As I dutchy I even removed the Dutch language from the settings to avoid sudden hick-ups.

I worked at companies that paid for the interview travels and relocation. Pretty neat and weird (I am a local but they mostly get people from far away like Brazil).
