Gitkraken because it makes working with branches, submodules, merging, amending, rebasing, squashing, stashing etc. super easy and visual. Especially useful in huge projects.22

There is a very big difference between:
"Here is all the code we have working"
And
"Here is all the code we have, working"2 -
I had forgotten why I hated GoDaddy so much.. until today. It all came back to me.
I have been a GoDaddy customer for over 5 years now. Last year I tried out Namecheap for the first time because someone who was sending me a domain asked me to create an account on NC.
A couple of days on NC and I fell in love with the support and pricing. I started transferring all my domains to NC over the year. (30+)
Now I was left with 3 domains, 1 of them was to expire 4 days ago. but 5 days ago, GoDaddy switched it to pending mode, barring me from transferring to domain or changing any details.
today I called GoDaddy and after a loooong chat, they fucking forced me to renew my domain!! Saying that I need to renew the domain before I attempt to make any more changes!!!
FUCK YOU GODADDY! THIS IS WHY I NEVER SEND CLIENTS YOUR WAY!!!4 -

Hello fellow devRanters.
It's that time of year where we celebrate the holidays, and give thanks to each other.
This year has been a tough one. And for many people, life can be snide and harsh; the fact that such a community like this exists is a testament to that. But despite all this we continue to uplift each other through our hardships.
As a way of thanks for such a great community I'd like to give away a few Devie balls (:/ ) to some people.
I'll pick a few people at random, at around this time tomorrow, in the comment sections that would like to have a little devie ball.
In order to partake in this, I'd like you to tell me one thing about technology that you're most thankful for.48 -
My biggest pet peeve is everyone who says Java is shit when they've likely never used it before.
Also...are you trying to start a war :P?12 -
Last week one of my non-dev coworkers asked if any of us knew java and I was like "yeah, think I can help you" then she showed me her JavaScript issue and I was like:
"Wtf, people really do this shit..." -
Spent the last 3.5 days developing none stop for a client. Met all their additional deadlines and requirements.
It's been worrying me for for a month.
I'm now seriously happy and relieved.3 -

I've tried Ionic in the past, and put off development with it because I couldn't get it to be performant without crosswalk.
In 2015, React Native put an end to the 'Are hybrid apps viable?' argument. It had a much smaller compile size, large component library, and is very reactive.
Ionic recently released news on scaling back their tools to focus on core offerings. I can't help but feel they're flogging a dead horse.
I'm sure the Ionic team has very smart people on board. Can't they see they're about to be 'Parse-ed'?1 -
Wk29:
A 15 minute meeting to discuss what shade of yellow our product should use for warning. I had to attend because I was writing the product.
This was one of about 5 separate discussions on the colour, a few of which involved me showing them a colour wheel and telling them to pick.
I'm a back end developer, the colour is just 3 rgb floats to me, I don't goddam care!2 -

Safari is like IE to me. Quirks, missing features, useless debugging tools, vendor specific.
At least Microsoft started fixing is turd.8
