I have a (imo) great idea for a small game, but I have no idea where to start or in what order I should work on certain features...
My programming skills themselves should suffice, I just have no idea what to begin with...

What programming language do you guys recommend to learn?
Currently, I know Java, PHP and JS but I want to try something else...
I was thinking maybe C, C++ or C#, opinions? Also, many people seem to praise Python as the new god of programming languages which will solve all of our problems, but until now I ran into nothing but problems really with literally every python-application I have used (mostly incompatibility between certain packages which actually were the required version, I found it very annoying to fix every time). Is that just me or does that happen more often?

I'm currently renting at Contabo.com (4 Cores, 12GB RAM, 300GB SSD, 100/100 unlimited for 9 bucks a month) but I'm interested in other options as well ^.^

Just finished a small project and don't know what to code next. Any suggestions? (Web / server based applications)

I have the habit of immediately closing parentheses after opening them, then insert the code.

The problem is, this applies to hand writing as well. Because you cannot move characters in a hand written exam I spend half of the time writing, then removing parentheses.
