No offense but it looks pretty bad. I don’t really see the point. It seems like a more spammy/hard-to-navigate version of Reddit/Twitter.
-
Haha, love this. It’s a tough decision!
-
Nice! What are you using to learn it?
-
@emes001 they pretty much told everyone that they were shutting down and becoming a "paid mailchimp add on" and you had a month to switch off of the service, or you could open a mailchimp account and continue using Mandrill, but for literally double the cost.
-
Could be pretty cool.
-
It was insane what they did and I wish their company the worst for it. That's no way to treat customers and they didn't even care.
-
Spoiler, here's most popular rant from it:
"So today this dev was implementing one of my designs and he says 'I think it's ready to go live, please review.' I go and look, and couldn't fucking believe what he was going to go live with. The new footer had 1 entire extra pixel of top padding. What an idiot."
Now it's not needed anymore. -
Antitrust

Wait is that like actually a thing?
-
Woah, awesome! Definitely not too messy :)
-
Nice!!
-
LOL!!
-
Because you're waffling around?
-
@Nownsankar I do, but then test with the latest codebase.
-
When you see people ranting about a rant that got ranted on on devRant.
-
@RampantShadow lol that's awesome
-
techRant or devRant?
-
@FIUprogrammer I'd say learn a lot on your own and work in fun projects. That's how I learned. IMO a lot of CS programs are useless. Experience with actual projects is the best kind of learning.
-
100% agreed.
-
Servaaarrrr
-
That sucks :/
-
Oh man...
-
@BellAppLab ha yep - the policy is supposed to be take a picture of it and never write do not erase, but sometimes people "forget."
-
So annoying!!
-
I hate talking on the phone!
-
Inefficiency at its finest!!

Great post. Sometimes I feel the same way. Maybe it would help to look at your current job as a stepping stone to starting your own company/project that can be exactly what you want to build and be something that you actually feel will impact people in a positive way. Kind of like using your day job to fund what you really want to do. A good paying job and some savings could give you some runway to do your own thing, if that would help bring the run back.
