Today I decided to quit my job. Yesterday I had my yearly review couldn't be more perfect, I did everything they asked me for and more (help with recruitment, animate conferences, work very late a lot of time, work during my vacation days...) yet to be surprised that I will only have 3% raise (on a low salary). I feel not valued and I was very disappointed :(

Help needed : Macbook Pro i5 2018 with 16go of ram or Macbook Pro i7 2018 with 16go of ram, I will use this computer mainly for coding so I won't be doing any video editing
PS : both of them are 13 inches
What do think I should chose?

Refactoring code that I've wrote like a year ago, made me realise how much I've grown in the past year, do you guys ever go back to old code that you've wrote?

Does anyone have a true measure to recruit freshly graduated? yesterday I had a technical interview with a candidate, the problem is he didn't know even the basic of coding in Java, like String equality and hashcode, he also didn't have a solid understanding of basic design pattern. But what made me want to give him a chance is that he seemed highly motivated and eager to learn. So I don't know what to do guys?

Dear developers, stop putting comments in the code explaining what your code do, if your code isn't readable then you're a bad coder.
Sincerely every other that's going to read your code after
