Do we still need virtualenv when we have containers? Cuz one of my friends thinks it’s a good idea to use virtualenv everywhere, even in production, even in an LXC?

Is it being paranoid or really a solution to some problem that would otherwise rise? I’m just curious.

Why is the “touch” command to create files called “touch”? Why isn’t it called mkfile or something? Like mkdir, chdir bleh?

I mean, was the dev too attached to the touch? Or was it that he was just too much into King Midas?

How does one get 3-5 years of experience if every job requires 3-5 years of experience? 🤔
