Boss: Can we add a [Close] button at the top right of the modal instead for all the items, the back at the lower left seems out of place.
Me: What modal? You mean move the back button to the top right of the page?
Boss: And make it say [Close]
Me: But it navigates Back. It's not a modal so it doesn't close. [Back] makes more sense than [Close].
Boss: Ok
...
Boss: Change the [Back] on the modal to [Close].
Me: But... fine...
Buttons all now say "Close", they all have double quotes. No one has said anything.18 -
We are currently in home office because of the actual corona situation. Since yesterday we experience internet problems in this region. So I constantly check ping to see how worse it is.
Let's see how long it takes for my girlfriend to rage:
while true; do if (( $(ping -c1 1.1.1.1 | grep "bytes from" | cut -d "=" -f4 | cut -d " " -f1) > 40 ));then espeak "fuck" ;fi;sleep 1;done3 -
I have no idea why the server does this, but everytime I Ctrl+C a process it prints a unicode heart out.11

All my unit tests work, all my component tests work, why the FUCK does it give me a 'Verification Failed' error?

There's a spending machine in my job that uses a tablet with an app as the interface. I downloaded Spotify, put some music and switch back to the app. It's funny to see the people trying to find where the music came from.15

A friend got a "new" (several years old) pc from an other friend. The pc made strange noises, so I open it and found a little speaker connected to the USB pins on the mainboard. Not an USB speaker but a simple mini speaker with two cables (see the picture). Why would someone do this?16
