Is QA job an engineering job?

Thought i knew JavaScript, the truth is i dont, and got a job where it requires only pure JavaScript 😭

Does a IT manager has to be a good engineer? Or it does not really matters?

Laravel on iis, is that possible?

I will learn java, c#, python and swift in udemy in 6months... purchase the courses, started , only did hello world for each course, never came back

Me: uber is a billion dollar company with several and the best engineers in the world
Friend: so what, just copy the exact same idea, of course the money comes when the app is done
