Really? -
Or just read your email again before sending it.
Better than having "programs" checking the content of your emails....
Everybody complains about privacy but nobody wants to talk about personal reasonability. -
If a website does not allow you to paste on the confirm email dialog, that's a sign for me of a well design website.
-
@h3ll not necessarily, you can get good feedback and still make that face. like "why the hell didn't I think of that".
-
Those shortcuts are stray out of Emacs 😂😂
-
@4screendev what do you mean?
-
you need help with your code? filthy peasant... 😜
-
@meain the fact that Emacs is an editor written in Lisp while Vi(m) is an editor with a macro language makes it easier for Emacs adopters to develop plugins/packages/write custom commands etc. Especially now that Emacs has a package manager.
-
Emacs is better at customization.
-
you could have used a different username.... 😉

@gustash @DreamWave boa tarde a todos 🇵🇹

+1 for the mega64 gif those guys are great

I never had to make a decision here "putting food on the table" was a factor, naturally I can understand it I'm just saying I never felt the pressure, but if you have that much experience and are confident in your abilities go freelancer.
That being said, it won't be easy, don't expect more time for you or your family (at least in the beginning, when you don't have your rhythm figured it out), you will get some headaches (have a lawyer and get some advice on the law for freelancers) but hey, you will be your own boss.
as long as you are happy, I'm sure you can figure it out. good luck! -
generally all types of music are OK for me, I tend to go with heavy metal or more electronic music

from which movie? 1 or 2? The others don't exist for me 😉

debian all the way

+1 for the BioShock figurine. Awesome!
-
@bobotay original invitation system was a 16 code made of digits and letters that one had to give in a certain one plus website. Someone at the forums gave 12 characters of one code, the others you had to guess. I quickly wrote a Python script to test the different possibilities and open a browser window when the right code was found 😎

@dfox kudos for thinking "there is a huge void" and not "there is a huge market opportunity" ;)
-
I see you can't triforce... you must be new.
Srsly, don't bring /b/ sayings into devRant -
@donscotty what do you mean edit a local repository? there are packages for Emacs to manage git/svn/CVS repositories and they all work fine for me.
-
Young Skywalker, you have much to learn...
Emacs all the way. No other editor offers the same amount of features and editing techniques.
I bet vi is also very rich, a lot of my colleagues also use it. -
tugaPower!
-
I use emacs for pretty much all of my editing.
-
I use Emacs for pretty much all editing. I know some people complain because of the extra packages you have to install, but now with the package manager is much easier to manage and find exactly what you want.
I mainly code in VHDL, Python, bash, c++. I also use it for Tex, email and calendar. -
congrats!!!! all the best 😄😄😄😄😄👊👊👊👊

@ChrisCooney I sent the request but decided to ask the community anyway. Never hurts to ask the user ;)
