My mate bought me a peach stressball that smells like peaches every time you squeeze. It has now become my coding companion.21

Had my algorithms and data structures lab this week... 6pm-9pm
No one sat next to me or talked to me... probably cause I’m the only girl in the class :/11 -
Sitting and waiting for my programming paradigms lab... feeling really anxious...
How long does it take until you’re more confident with coding?4 -
My programming paradigms unit has decided to explore different teaching/learning environments by creating lecture/workshops. Imagine a massive room with big projector screens at the front and smaller screens lined up against the wall at the back. The lecture room seats are designed around tables that are gradually elevated so it’s similar to a lecture hall but you’re sitting at discussion tables.
There’s the usual lecture with all the slides up around everywhere, there’s nice wheelie chairs and dimmer lighting... can’t tell if we’re at a conference or some awards night. Then all of a sudden, we’re coding in teams (tables) and uploading our work on to forums to discuss with the rest of the lecture hall. WHAAAAAAAT
Really different and quite enjoyable experience, there’s more than one tutor walking around to help, there’s mics for people to present.
Just sharing my new experience of forward learning environments that didn’t cause feelings of anxiousness for once or boredom. It was kind of mind blowing, wish it was always like this. -
Took 6 months off from coding...
sat in a JavaScript class today and couldn’t remember what a base case for recursion was...
Dear tutor,
I swear I can be stupid but please bear with me, I try really hard

Okay so I’m swiping through tinder for my fellow coding mate and I’m either looking at a porn star or an lg.
Sooooo figures I might as well throw this out here:
Any females? Melbourne Australia??
I’m tired of swiping and I don’t want him to be lonely 😢13 -
So I got a scam email... well I hope it’s a scam email
Saying that they know my email and password, stating the email and password (I think it was the correct password or maybe older version), have installed whatever on my OS and want blackmail me w/ my info for money or else they’ll release it in 48 hrs and ugh
I have exams, honestly can’t be fucked dealing with this.
It is a scam right???

Over the last year, I’ve only started learning computer science at uni, never done it before.
I’ve done units in:
- Alg. and programming fundamentals in python
- Intro to comp sci
- alg. and data structures
- theory of computation
Guess the point of this is, “why do people code, what aspirations do you all have?”
Cause rn, I’m all about “I have no idea what I’m doing, coding just seemed cool and I wanted to try it out.” Don’t know where to go
Someone inspire me???
Here is a legit reason for you to brag about what you do and what you’re going to do 😉13 -
It’s the last week of “Theory of computation” and now I’m thinking why the hell would I enroll in an 8am lab.11

Stuck in the car driving mum today...
She’s concerned about my little brother’s education and asks me “Is it okay to study I.T at University?”
I just turn and look at her like you’ve got to be kidding me. “Mum I’m studying I.T”
The conversation continues with:
What jobs are there in I.T?
What are you going to do with I.T?
You should become a teacher and I’ll open a tutoring centre for you!

Completed units where the faculty chooses to specifically code in python.
Gets MIPS assembly code thrown at us for 3 weeks only.
Goes back to Python...
Next Unit jumps to Linux, spends 8 weeks on Linux, gives all the students a 10 page assignment in Javacc worth 20% , linked to a 46 page doc they must read and learn on their own...
