C gods will be dissatisfied.

Does anybody really care?

@fyroc with 120 symbols margin it is possible to entirely put there at least one side panel - method explorer, for example. And the files can be opened using horizontal panel above the editor.
-
Leeco here. Probably won't ever get to 7.

@binhex actually, they don't and I love it. I mean, if I want to use Java, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP whatever simultaneously, then I just install a plugin into IDEA and don't need to use IDEA, Pycharm, Webstorm, Phpstorm whatever simultaneously. So far there's no plugin for Clion features but it is still under huge development.
-
@yarwest okay then, suppose they didn't.
-
@yarwest I think it is, just not displaying as a link. Although we can check this.

Actually this is the first rant near the top of devRant all-time posts. Everything else is just jokes. This is going the right way.

@vortexman100 agree, this depends on one's goals and amount of time and previous programming experience. If you ask me, C Primer Plus is the best book ever to introduce programming to a person, just uses C for this purpose. The actual code examples start to show around page 300 of about 1000. But if one finds the motivation and the patience to read through all these pages - 1) he is ready to write very good C code and use the book as a reference later, 2) he will probably find enough patience to read through Learning Python, Thinking in Java, Code Complete, Algorithms etc. This demonstrates from the very beginning that programming is not an easy and instant skill but a lot of hours of reading and trying out the written. And I think that every page matters in these books, the bigger the book is - the higher will be one's knowledge on this subject.
-
To all saying this is the best book - not at all. There was just no alternative back in those days. And nowadays this book is 1) overpriced 2) outdated and 3) intended for people who already have programming experience. Don't get me wrong - the book is not bad at all, just not the best one.

@Necro yea. A bad fake.

c++ and python should change their places
-
@manrock007 I also thought that a polymorphism is just, for example, the changing behavior of + in sum and concatenation.

However, now you know that one should not keep a notebook in a luggage section.

I am a hater and I hate this post. Because we wanted to make 32 comments, man!

Okay, no problem.
-
@alkuzad sorry, I don't understand. The developer gives you the source code to compile or what? Or your team supports the cluster, where every other worker compiles the sources?
-
@alkuzad what are you working on?
-
If you are debugging it, he probably left. 😞
-
@Linux 52? I thought there are 50.

@heyheni yes, for sure. Playing new games under Windows doesn't make any problem. The TV is okay either.
