tech bros be like treesitter this treesitter that and bla bla bla buh blah bawa and honestly fuck that shit
I mean, it's great concept shit but down to earth it's a clusterfuck
meaning if you actually want a decent mofo of a highlight you might as well write that query file yourself just as I did for python, markdown, bash, rust, zig, typescript... Like, shit, you dumb fucks be writing a shit ton of unmanageable, unformatable s-expressions, fucking up my editor's performance. I AM NOT KIDDING, fuck! Original bash highlights.scm's like 300 LOC of smelly patchwork and mine's like 100, shat in a single sitting that actually follows the damn fucking language spec. Do you think I'll waste my time contributing with my queries? NO FUCKING WAY! Why not, buddy? Well, cuz I FUCKING DESPISE one of the projects core maintainers. Asscrack piece of shit asshole. BUT if you treesitter bros out there ever get rid of that cockroach of a man make no mistake I'll take that shitheat's place and front the project the codes -
The more I think about the more it makes sense. If you're running a tracing jit compiler for a language with TCO does that means tail recursive functions are like asking to get traced?

what brothers me is the experience requirements like motherfucker, if I had all those years I'd be retired by now. you gov? wanna cut my pension is it?6

I am not a particularly vengeful one, but today I was, and everyday onwards I'll be turning it up a notch on recurrence. WTF is Kobenz talking about? Well, let me fill you in. For the worst part of 7 months I've been having my already fucked up hearing beaten to a pulp by the neighboring apartment's renovation works, sounds that would often balloon over 120dB, continuously. Last week the actual owner finally moved into their apartment and the sounds had stopped. Of course, i had spent every minute of my blight concocting vengeful schemes to get even. But while I was so full of think hatred and maliciousness, I, of course, let it all got. As i said, not a particularly vengeful individual, that I am not. Until yesterday that is, when the whole reformation crew was back here at 8am, banging my ears with those awful noises... So today, i woke up at 4am, set up my blender and my speakers, waited until 6am sharp and turned it all on, ALL of it. If today I hear even so much as a wisp of that deranged reformation noise, tomorrow at 5am I'll do it all over again. And every day from now on, I'll rinse and repeat it an hour earlier than before, speakers cranked up a notch above their previous noise, the blender running half hour longer than its previous running time and I'll add a new source of noise every single FUCKING DAY!8

Whenever you're feeling like you've had a hellish upbringing, remember what I've just found out about mine. that not only did my mother do acid and other drugs while pregnant with me, she also did it while breastfeeding me... As if beating and screaming my childhood away from me wasn't enough19

I'm not joking when I say how dumb I am. Like, for example, yesterday, me and a friend had to figure out how much is 15×6. He did it by doing 10×6 + 5×6, that's 2 "×"s and a single "+", dead simple, right? Yep. Me? I did it 5×3×3×2... Which, ok, is 9×10, but do you think I can do 9×10? Nope, to me 9×10 is the result 🤌🏻 that's how much of a door knob I am7

Functional programming in a one liner:
const value = (define_value, start) => value(define_value(start))1 -
starting out with a couple coroutines to spare is literally the worst bad habit I've got from golang and that's a compliment. rust, for example, got my over engineering OCD thru the roof!1

A hundred bucks that the time interval between moments when you can cross a street is a sequence with π and e in it4

fuck
I'm doing this side job for a Canadian dude and he wants me to open a Wise bank account, I've never even heard of it and, obviously, no non-life-changing-dough justifies such a thing. For some wtv the fuck reason - I don't get it, honestly - the motherfucker doesn't wanna do PayPal
So... enlighten me, PLEASE, what are people rolling with these days besides PayPal?
Also, I'm pretty sure this motherfucker is putting bumps on the road expecting me to wave on it9 -
TODAY! Today in a fit of rage over my neighbor's construction I've super glued their door. I mean, they're basically making me wake up at 1am to work cuz I've a dislocated nerve on my ear and the noises literally turn to pain. So yeah, by 3am I thought, wtv, right? An eye for an eye and shit, so I glued that door shut.
Eagerly awaiting to hear that motherfucker's doorframe cracking. 8am can't come soon enough2 -
It's not enough to be clean, perfomant and maintainable, it needs to be beautiful. if it looks bad it's probably bad.10

was looking up some code, won't say which, trying to find something, won't say what, and, heck, I need to find out who wrote and maintains this awesome piece of art. After a couple hours of stalking done, yep, that's how good it was, I finally found the author and guess what? They died two years ago, 24 years old. Dead. Gone. A little more stalking and the punchline was: suicide.
FUCK, I don't even know them but it makes me real sad. It seems this' an actual issue in our line of work24 -
An utility function longer than 100 lines shouldn't even be a single function. Shit, it shouldn't even BE inside the "utils" file9

democrats make it hard for businesses in the US but at least they acknowledge how rabid their country's capitalism is. I mean, damn, some more trump and it might fast track that cyberpunk dystopia we all know is at the curb10

those people know so much more than me that I'm always somewhere between excited and territorially threatened
