@AllanTaylor314 beyond marketing tricks I was curious who's gonna do the math on this.
-
Thanks for your CV :)
I think that a PhD doesn't make you so difficult to deal with other non-phd people, especially if you stay humble.
And yes, I know people with PhD degrees in software. -
@CodeMasterAlex yes, I am. Because of passion, because I want to do a research project without any business driven requirements and because I have the ambition to get this degree after bachelor's and master's. Your question implies that a software engineer and a PhD are rather oddities or opposite things. Why do you think so?
-
++ for choosing AMD Ryzen, not Intel. I have done se choice.
-
@arraysstartat1 this is EU
-
I agree fizz buzz for filtering junior devs or interns is good.
In other situations, though...nope. -
@illegaldisease that's the most overused argument. Boss told me. I just executed. It doesn't stand.
If you, an employee, could have done something, anything, to prevent that, then you are responsible.
Sorry for your conscience. Better face it and, as others said, get out. -
To be fair (and probably rude), that's not ethical, neiter from your boss, nor from you. You should not have done such a thing.
-
@taigrr well, chrome is already eating the internet. And it did started to bite from desktop world. I'm not saying that is not easy to use it like this just that it slowly becomes the go-to tool for more and more situations.
-
Isn't the monitor too far from the external keyboard for your eyes?
-
@620hun as a user you wouldn't know what vanilla is. Other than an ice cream flavor.
-
That sounds like a scene from Mission Impossible.
-
Mine is only a 2k on a 27' display.
-
And that's the den they won't escape from.
-
Credit Twitter.
Actually credit @brenankeller -
@shaji if your opinion turns into offensive sarcasm we can end it here.
-
@shaji have you concluded I'm not using it?
-
@BadFox Of course I agree that it doesn't. ^_^
(it's only a matter of taste, I would say) -
On comparison, with safari looks better.
-
@gitpush it's about using blockchain technologies (decentralization, consensus, proof of stake, etc) to optimize traffic in a city, among connected cars.
-
Welcome here :)
-
@xzvf the default one. I'm still focusing on other aspects but I'll eventually get to themes.
-
@devios1 I like that once you get used to one of their technology (I've used win forms, wpf, wcf,.net) it proves to be stable and you can actually do your job. But until that point it feels like Sisyphus.
-
@devTea a mix of net46 projects and core 2.0 and net standard. The tfs build can restore with both nuget restore and with dotnet restore. One project needs package.config, other not. Then I need to publish a web api to Azure. Another pain in the ass with configuration. Then ssl. Then docker. Too much 🤪🤪
-
@devTea no need. Thanks :)
-
@Krokoklemme yeap, I've used it. It drove me nuts on few details.
-
@devTea if you have a different opinion don't express it with "fuck you", ok?
-
Dream Theater
-
Sounds like Gilfoyle.

No kidding, unfortunately. And no, that's not the actual password.
