@NoMad look up the sunk cost fallacy. It might help you with projects 1 and 2.

Check out Paprika 3. It filters out the ingredients and directions. It works pretty well too.

This definitely isn't a coffee wizard moment, but I felt pretty baller when I tutored an engineering class in Matlab despite never having learning it. This was only after a year of learning Java. It's the moment I realized learning a 2nd/3rd/etc language would be easier than I thought.

@electrineer what's considered long life? This always confuses me and I'm planning on getting a new laptop by the end of the year as my daily driver. I'd like to not shred the battery.

@ShahriyarRulez this is kinda shitty advice, but the easiest way to learn would be to try and make one of your side projects into a profitable business. You'll figure out what you need to learn really quickly. Whether it not you can _actually learn_ it is another story.
I say it's shitty advice cause a vast majority of people don't wanna do it/don't have time/etc. But it's definitely the quickest way to learn imo. -
@karma o ya? Well I predicted it in 1984!

Always double check your math

Getting your password stolen falls into the "hacked" realm imo. But we definitely shouldn't use that term for it. If we actually said "so and so's password was stolen" instead of "hacked", people would take password security much more seriously (or at least a little more seriously).

Heroku too. I used it until I wanted to learn more about server management. Then hello DO.

@Godisalie electron is built on chromium so it's a ram hog. It has its uses but when you're running 5 of em, it's definitely noticable.
