I watched the same thing on a flight last week 😋

My theory of the job market is specialize. A mile wide and an inch deep is not as useful as going deep. If you become an expert in a few things you can find employers who want experts in that. Consider, a machine learning specialist might not know the first thing about majority of frameworks, but that doesn't matter for the job that individual is doing.

If you are on Mac, Parallels is what I use to run Windows and Linus VM's. Very useful. I have also enjoyed using Fedora on a very old laptops.

Also what do you like about living?
-
I can't stop laughing
-
Next you are going to say I shouldn't make all my variables global
-
Here is hoping you are in the sweet spot
-
I kind of want a sticker of that.
-
@linuxer4fun no kidding. My brother has to write assembly from time to time for his job. He told me he does it when the assembly the compiler makes is not efficient enough.

A metal album with no lyrics. The same one on loop. I don't even notice it anymore, it just falls into the background. It's almost Pavlovian
-
Cafescript.js a framework that has nothing to do with cafe, the name was just available.
-
I like it but it feels off center
-
@grimtar Penera is the new starbucks
-
@filthyranter no kidding and since humans are crazy fallible I guess we can't let any of them use it.
-
@LicensedCrime I know but a guy can dream. Imagine spending years on it and a hack is produced In a few days.
-
@Letmecode my gut says he means a truly random number generator with mathematical proof, instead of the psudo random number generators typically used.
-
@monolithicblob ugh that is awesome. hen, instead of han or hon. I doubt that would work in USA B/C hen refers to a female chicken.
I am not sure why people get bent out of shape about supposed feminist plots, it's just a word attempting to be more specific to the group being addressed. -
Stuff like this makes me wish that English had a better word for addressing a specific person of unknown gender. Individual is fine but it does not flow well in a sentence.
For that matter I wish we had a word to refer to a large group of mixed gender people. At the moment people tend to just use "you guys" as a catch all. Ugh. -
@grimtar did the same thing for my brother in law
-
YOUR OPINIONS DIFFER FROM MINE!!!
-
I'm cool...
-
FML me know too
-
Depends on the daily stand up the plan out the implementation.
-
Yeah but you will be able to get a notification when your dishwasher is done instead of just listening like it's the 1400's.
-
Pretty good too

@uddinstock calling it an engineer position ended up being generous on the company side, it's more tech support with a little code debugging.
