Coding Teacher: "you'll need your laptops for the exam. To prevent you from cheating I'll disable the network now"
...pulls out the network cable on his machine...
"okay you can start now"

A few years ago when I was still an apple fan boy, friend of mine bragging me about how android is awesome, we were drinking some shots at our local pub and I was starting to get light headed. At one point he showed me so called "terminal emulator" app. I checked it out, and assumed it's an emulation, just like dosbox, so I decided to verify that "rm -rf *"... (the phone was rooted)
The phone shutdown within seconds, I couldn't stop laughing, while my friend was shock that his new phone was longer booting.
Luckily he managed to reflash the ROM. What can I learn from that experience?
1. Don't drink and sudo
2. Don't call your app an emulator if it's the real deal.34 -

Kinda curious if there are any devs who don't use a monospace font when coding and what drove you to do such a horrible inhumane thing?7

Windows 10 Image viewer:
void ShowImage(string imagePath) {
Thread.Sleep(3600)
imagePath:GetImage().show = true
}
Sorry if my code is bad. But you understand what i mean xD2 -
I've been slowly increasing the size of my tech manager's mouse cursor over the last month when he leaves his computer unlocked. It's about an inch tall now and he hasn't noticed yet. Everyone else in the office does and it's the best thing ever.11

I found a python virus online a while ago that just corrupts your .py files, so I wanted to do something similar and after writing it I ran it on my pc, it corrupted all of my .py files.27

I don't know what the hell this is, but my idiotic brother downloaded it.
I uninstalled it, but if it's malware, I'll be pissed off.
He literally just came up to me, and said that he clicked a link on YouTube to download something. He even said, "It's an invisible app."
He says it's invisible, because you can't find it unless you check the apps setting.29 -
Programming in a tree. I usually climb up here and read, but I decided to code, and I didn't drop my laptop :D
I covered the screen with my hand because my code's ugly, and I don't want anyone to see it lol.144 -
I thought it would be pretty cool to start a pet-sharing post!
(My apologies if this has been done before, I just thought it would be cool to see the pets of the devRant community!)
