@mrstebo Makes me think I should add comments about why I didn't do it one way rather than just comments about what it is doing.
-
/me looks up from swapping to a new work computer... on Friday.
-
I would make them radio buttons.
-
I don't allow my PM to talk to me any more.
-
@Neotelos you'd still have your local repos. You could just resync once it's back up.
-
I mean, I'll push a broken build to my own branch.

Wait until you do some healthcare stuff and have to spell paitent, err patrient, err patient all the time.
-
You get a spec? I just get, Yeah, but can you also make it do this, this, and this? the day before the project end date.

Thanks for the reminder, I'm about to have to do this myself.

My upside down reading.

Dynamsoft?

I remember doing my research and buying only Linux compatible hardware. Custom compiling my own kernel and all the latest software. E16 desktop ftw.
Now, Fedora installs in about 10 minutes. -
@osmarks Reliably installed at most mid to large organizations. I usually aim my development at IE11 and Chrome, FF, and Safari handle everything just fine.

-
People are literally called resources where I work.
-
@Paramite It gets things done. I use sqlcmd and BCP a lot.

Stupid Vogons

@Letmecode Many times we have to aim at IE because our applications get used by people in large corporations where IE is the standard. Fortunately almost all corporations have standardized on IE 11 which is much easier to work with than previous versions.

@uddinstock Not sure what was up with him really. He was a consummate bullshitter for sure which is how he managed to hang on for so long. He knew all the lingo and buzzwords, but had no real skills that I could discern.
-
Tangent, does anyone else remember Internet Explorer for Mac? I do... unfortunately.
-
@jotamontecino I'm just a simple country boy, so please forgive.
-
Oh contraire mon Frere. My former boss wrote tons of scripts and apps in VB and VBS. Inconsistent capitalization, no regard for formatting, etc. I consider myself a pro for being able to decifer it all and clean it up.
Also, what a shit language. -
Been there, done that, won't do again.
